Two British soldiers killed in Afghan operations

London - Two British soldiers have been killed in southern Afghanistan and another six members of NATO forces have been wounded in fighting there, the Ministry of Defence in London said Thursday.
It said the servicemen were killed Wednesday during fighting near Lashkar Gah in Helmand province.
The deaths took the number of British servicemen and women who lost their lives in Afghanistan since the start of operations in October 2001 to 171.
