Three soldiers, 13 rebels killed in Pakistan clash

Islamabad - At least three soldiers and 13 rebels were killed in combat Monday in Pakistan's north-western tribal region, security officials said.
Insurgents ambushed a troop convoy in Orakzai district, an officer of the Frontier Corps said on condition of anonymity
'Three soldiers and 13 militants have been killed in the clash that went on for sometime,' he said. 'A number of militants were also injured.
Orakzai emerged as main safe haven for local and foreign militants after they fled an October military offensive in South Waziristan.
