Denmark reports 40th troop fatality in Afghanistan

Copenhagen - A roadside bomb on Sunday killed a Danish soldier in Afghanistan - the Scandinavian country's 40th fatality in the war-torn country - the Danish military command said.
The soldier was killed while on patrol just north-east of Gereskh in the restive Helmand province.
Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen issued a statement expressing regret over the soldier's death.
Danish troops have been deployed in Afghanistan since 2002, with a 650-strong contingent currently based mainly in Helmand province.
