Mouse fright grounds Nepalese flight to Thailand
Sep 5, 2011, 14:53 GMT
Kathmandu - A flight bound from Kathmandu to Bangkok was cancelled Monday, after a mouse was spotted on board.
The Boeing 757, registered under the national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines, was sent back to the hangar after the airline staff could not find the mouse, despite searching for more than an hour.
The airline said the mouse had jumped off a food tray and disappeared into the rear of the aeroplane. There were 133 passengers on board the craft.
Airline Spokesman Raju KC said they were still trying to find the mouse, adding that the aircraft would not take off until the rodent was removed, citing safety reasons.
