India tests nuclear-capable missile

New Delhi - India successfully tested a nuclear-capable, ballistic missile on Monday from an eastern military base, a news report said.
The surface-to-surface missile with a range of 350 kilometres was fired from a test range at Chandipur in the state of Orissa, the IANS news agency reported.
The Prithvi-II missile is one of the five being developed under the country's Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme.
The medium-range missile can carry a 500-kilogram warhead.
