Kabul - Ten people, including two foreign soldiers, were killed in separate attacks in Afghanistan on Wednesday, officials said.
The foreign soldiers, part of the NATO-led international forces in the country, were killed in a roadside bombing in eastern Afghanistan, the military coalition said in a statement.
No further details about the exact location of the bombing or the nationality of the soldiers were provided.
Meanwhile, five Afghan soldiers died when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle in the Pushtun Zarghun district of Herat province, said Muhaiuddin Noori, spokesman for the governor of Herat.
A Ministry of Defence spokesman confirmed the incident and death toll.
In neighbouring Badghis province, a suicide bombing killed three members of the same family.
'A suicide bomber who came on foot blew himself up next to a convoy of the Afghan army near a health clinic in Bala Murghab district of Badghis, killing three civilians and injuring two Afghan National Army soldiers,' said Dilbar Jaan Arman, the governor of Badghis province.
Taliban militants claimed responsibility for the attack in Herat, but gave no comment on the other attacks.
'Based on the reports received, one vehicle of the enemy was destroyed and all soldiers inside were killed on the spot,' the terrorist group said in a statement.
The Taliban's fight against the government in Kabul and its allies began a decade ago this month.
