Dec 7, 2011, 8:52 GMT
Kabul - Afghan President Hamid Karzai cancelled a trip Wednesday to Britain a day after suicide bombings in the Afghan capital and a northern city killed 63 people, his palace said in a statement.
Karzai arrived in Kabul Wednesday morning, an official with the palace said.
'President Karzai, who was visiting Berlin in Germany and should have traveled to London, cancelled his trip as he heard about the terrorist attacks in Mazar-e Sharif and Kabul,' a palace statement said.
Tuesday's twin bombings at shrines for minority Shiite Muslims killed 63 pilgrims attending a religious festival.
