Suicide bomber kills at least three in Pakistan's Peshawar
Jan 30, 2012, 12:53 GMT
Islamabad - A suicide bomber targeted a tribal leader affiliated with an Islamist group in Pakistan's north-western city of Peshawar on Monday, killing at least three people and wounding six, police said.
'Apparently the elder was the target and he and two more people were killed on the spot,' policeman Tahir Ayub said, adding that the tribal leader was affiliated with the Ansar-ul-Islam militant group, which is a rival of the Taliban.
The bomber struck at a construction site in the suburb of Pakha Ghulam.
It was not immediately clear who was behind the attack.
