Kathmandu - A woman was burnt to death Friday in a remote village in the south-western Nepali district of Chitwan on allegations of practicing witchcraft.
Police said a group of villagers in Bhagauda village, in Chitwan's Madi, beat Theganidevi Mahato, 40, and then set her alight with kerosene.
Ten people have so far been arrested for involvement in the crime.
Every year, hundreds of women in rural Nepal are abused after being accused of being witches.
