Feb 23, 2012, 10:53 GMT
Islamabad - A female pilot and her male colleague were killed Thursday when their single-engine training aircraft crashed in the eastern city of Lahore, an aviation official said.
The Cessna 150 was on a routine training flight when it came down house in the densely populated Model Town neighborhood of the city, Civil Aviation Authority spokesman Pervez George told dpa by telephone.
No damage was reported on the ground, he said.
'The two pilots were killed. The immediate cause of the crash is not known as yet,' George said.
The two-seater crashed half an hour after taking off from Lahore's Walton Airport.
Television footage showed the mangled wreckage of the plane and rescue workers transporting the bodies to hospital.
