Blair to give evidence to US task force on Iraq
Nov 11, 2006, 21:04 GMT
London - British Prime Minister Tony Blair will testify Tuesday to a US task force on Iraq headed by former secretary of state James Baker, a spokesman for the British leader confirmed Saturday.
Blair will talk to members of the Iraq Study Group by video link on Tuesday, a day after US President W George Bush is set to meet with the bi-partisan panel at the White House.
The prime minister's office said Blair would ensure Baker and his task-force colleagues were 'fully briefed on UK ideas' about the course to take in Iraq.
A spokeswoman for Blair also said British officials had been in contact with the Iraq Study Group since its creation in March this year.
British media were speculating Saturday that Blair would be urging the US to open talks with Iraq's neighbours Syria and Iran, but would not be calling for a quick pullout of US troops from Iraq.

I hope The prime minister's office wiil ensure Baker and his task-force colleagues are also 'fully briefed on UK ideas' about the course that the Police will take when they finally have their long overdue interview with PM Tony Blair about 'Cash-for-Honours' and the stench of political corruption.
Blair will then probably have to hand in his resignation as PM.
Bush then, will lose not only Rumsfeld ,but also his faithful pet'poodle'...Tony Blair.
