(M&C) - At least four have been arrested, one man is dead and another seriously wounded after a shooting incident in Streatham High Road, in south-west London. The two injured men had been taken to hospital following the incident with one dying shortly after arrival.
Police say witnesses reported seeing "Two or more vehicles...leaving the area," following the shooting a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman told reporters.
The deceased man is known to police though an official identification will not proceed until his next of kin are informed. The second man is believed to be in a serious condition in the same hospital with gunshot wounds.
Later reports have said that "at least four" people have been arrested in connection with the shooting and the injured man is under police guard.
Metropolitan police have closed Streatham High Road while officers complete their investigation.
