Apr 6, 2008, 11:56 GMT
London - Weather obstacles forced British Airways on Sunday to again cancel dozens of flights from London Heathrow's ill-fated Terminal 5.
Owing to heavy snowfalls 50 additional flights were cancelled British Airways said, increasing the total to 62 cancelled flights as software problems on Saturday shut down Terminal 5's automated baggage handling system.
Bagged had to be sorted by hand, leading to delays and flight cancellations.
British Airways had expected to have overcome the teething problems of the 8-billion-dollar terminal by Saturday, after 11 days of chaos following its opening.
Two landing strips of Europe's largest airport were closed on Sunday morning for about half an hour because of ice on the runway, airport operator BAA said.
