London- Britain's Prince William is to join Royal Navy patrols searching for drug runners in Caribbean waters aboard the frigate HMS Iron Duke, British media reported late Saturday.
He would also be involved in the provision of humanitarian relief in the event of a hurricane in the region.
Rear Admiral Robert Cooling, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff, said the attachment would be 'rigorous' and 'challenging,' Britain's Press Association reported.
Prince William, 25, was said to be looking forward to the two- month secondment, the agency reported.
