Mandela tells the Queen: You look younger every day
Jun 25, 2008, 15:24 GMT
London - Nelson Mandela, who is visiting Britain to mark his forthcoming 90th birthday, told Queen Elizabeth II during a private meeting in Buckingham Palace Wednesday: 'You look younger every time I see you.'
The monarch, 82, and the elder statesman exchanged smiles and mutual compliments during a chat confirming their warm and friendly personal relations, aides said.
Using a walking stick and helped by a palace aide, Mandela stepped slowly forward to greet the queen and pay her a compliment on her looks.
'It's very nice weather, arranged just for you,' the monarch told Mandela, who was dressed in one of his trademark colourful African shirts.
The former South African President, who retired from politics nine years ago, will Friday be honoured with a star-studded concert in London's Hyde Park to mark his 90th birthday on July 18.

nor Nelson Mandela...but the problem is we're getting OLD!
HAH!
The young ones if they will listen to the old ones may find wisdom and learn from our mistakes.
Some have ears for their elders ...and some have not.
I was lucky.
