Prince Charles and Camilla to visit Japan, Brunei in late October

London - Britain's Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, will make an official visit to Japan and Brunei at the end of October, the royal palace in London said Tuesday.
However, the Duchess, 61, would miss the final leg of the tour to Indonesia due to the extreme heat in the country at that time, a Clarence House spokesman said.
The four-day tour of Japan, from October 27, is to mark the 150th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Britain.
Talks would include economic relations between the two countries, but also the environment, technology, education and heritage, Clarence House said.
After the end of the Japan visit, the couple would travel to the Sultanate of Brunei for two days.
However, the Duchess would not continue to travel with the Prince to Indonesia on a four-day stay because she was known to find the extreme heat uncomfortable.
Prince Charles last visited Japan in 1990, Brunei in 1996 and Indonesia in 1989. The Duchess, who married Prince Charles in 2005, has not been on an official trip to the region.
