Eastbourne, England - Dmitry Tursunov and Canadian qualifier Frank Dancevic will stage a re-play of a 2007 final as both advanced into the title match at the Eastbourne Championships Friday.
Second seeded Russian Tursunov, who beat the number 126 when they met in Indianapolis in July, 2007, booked his place with a defeat of Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez 6-2, 6-2.
Dancevic continued his unexpected success as he defeated fourth seed Fabrice Santoro 6-4, 6-4 to reach only the second final of his career.
The 24-year-old began his week with an upset of top seed Igor Andreev as the men play the Wimbledon warm-up for the first time.
Tursunov will be playing in his eighth career final (5-2 overall) and his on grass.
In the women's event, 2007 Wimbledon finalist Marion Bartoli came to a tearful end as the Frenchwoman was forced to quit trailing 6-4, 1-0 against Virgine Razzano in their semi-final.
Razzano will play for the third title of her career and first since 2007 when she faces Danish sixth seed Caroline Wozniacki, who defeated Canadian Aleksandra Wozniak 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Bartoli now fears for her Wimbledon participation with the Grand Slam starting Monday where she is seeded 12th.
'It's too soon for a diagnosis,' she said. 'If it's a strain then there's not a good chance that I can play.
Bartoli first asked for the trainer after losing the opening set and quit a game later when it became apparent her movement was hampered.
There is no love lost between the two after Razzano this week accused Bartoli of gamesmanship in previous matches including a pair in 2008.
'She tries to do things to make your concentration drop. She can try anything to win. When you play Marion you need to prepare for everything,' Razzano said after her victory.
Wozniacki lost the first set in 30 minutes against Wozniak, also of Polish extraction. But the teenaged sixth seed slowly turned the tide to take the victory in just under two hours.
'I really enjoy playing her,' said the winner. 'It was really difficult (due to wind) and we both struggled. But we hung in there.
'I'm playing well on the grass and that gives me a lot of confidence.'
Wozniacki will be playing her fifth final of 2009, with one win over Wozniak at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, in April to show for her efforts.
