US Secretary of State arrives in Britain for talks

London - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, arriving in London on Sunday, is expected to have talks with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on Afghanistan and the Northern Ireland peace process.
Clinton is first to meet with Foreign Secretary David Miliband in London before holding talks with the prime minister at his country residence, Chequers, later in the day.
Her visit, part of a five-day European tour of Europe, follows her mediation in Zurich of agreements between Armenia and Turkey.
While in Britain, Clinton is expected to convey President Barack Obama's latest views on the military campaign in Afghanistan.
Brown has signalled his willingness to send more troops into Afghanistan's troubled Helmand province contingent upon other Nato allies sharing the burden, and a new Afghan government being in place.
Iran and US missile defence systems in Europe may also be among the topics of discusion.
