Passenger plane slides off runway in Scotland

London - A passenger aircraft coming into land overshot the runway at an airport in Scotland, northern Britain, police said Wednesday.
The accident happened at Prestwick airport near Glasgow, Scotland's second-biggest city. No people on board were hurt, police said.
Scotland experienced heavy snowfalls and icy conditions overnight.
According to initial eywitness reports, the plane came to rest partially on grass off the runway. Emergency vehicles were at the scene.
