British Airways cargo plane on standby for Haiti flight (Extra)

London - British Airways (BA) said Friday it had a Boeing 747 with capacity for up to 50 tons of cargo on standby to fly to Haiti, operated by volunteer BA pilots and cabin crew.
As well as funding the 250,000 pounds (407,600 dollars) cost of the flight, the airline has pledged 300,000 pounds from its Unicef Change for Good programme, BA said in London Friday.
