Sep 24, 2011, 8:55 GMT
London - A London house fire claimed the lives of six people overnight, reported city fire officials Saturday morning.
The dead included three children, two teenagers and one adult. Additionally, a 16-year-old girl and a 55-year-old man had been hospitalized for burns, said fire officials.
The cause of the blaze was unclear. Authorities said it ripped through the ground floor and first level of the semi-detached house in north-west London.
Authorities are working under the assumption that all the victims belong to the same family. The injuries of the hospitalized girl are said to be life-threatening.
