British police arrest four on suspicion of terrorism offences
Nov 15, 2011, 12:15 GMT
London - British police arrested four men in the city of Birmingham Tuesday on suspicion of travelling to Pakistan to undertake terrorist training and of raising funds for terrorist purposes, a spokesman said.
He said the men, aged between 19 and 24, were held in connection with a wider investigation in which eight people have already been charged.
The arrests were pre-planned and not made in response to any immediate threat to public safety, the spokesman said.
