Berdych beats Ferrer to complete London lineup
Nov 25, 2011, 23:03 GMT
London - Tomas Berdych beat David Ferrer 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 with a storming third set on Friday to earn the last of the semi-final spots for the ATP World Tour Finals.
The victory in just over two hours, combined with a loss by world number one Novak Djokovic to Serb compatriot Janko Tipsarevic 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, means that Ferrer finishes second in Group A behind Berdych.
Ferrer faces a quick turnaround with a Saturday semi-final against Roger Federer, the defending champion, who is so far undefeated. Berdych will take on Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in the Sunday final.
