Prince William co-piloted helicopter rescue operation off Wales
Nov 27, 2011, 13:29 GMT
London - Prince William co-piloted a Sea King helicopter which rescued two people from a sinking ship in the Irish Sea, Britain's Ministry of Defence said Sunday.
The ship, called the Swanland, was carrying 3,000 tonnes of limestone to the Isle of Wight, BBC reported.
Crew members radioed for support at 0200 GMT after the hull of the 81-metre boat was said to have sprung a leak.
BBC reported that four helicopters continue to search for six missing crew members, who are said to be from Russia.
