Beckham stays true to Manchester United
Dec 6, 2011, 23:49 GMT
Sydney - Football superstar David Beckham said Wednesday that playing in the English Premier League for a club other than Manchester United would be 'difficult.'
The midfielder, 36, would not be drawn on speculation that his next move would be to France's Paris Saint-Germain.
'I'm a Man United fan through and through, and it would always be difficult for me to go back and play in the Premiership for any other team except for Manchester United,' Beckham told reporters in Melbourne.
Beckham, who signed with Manchester United when he was 14 and played 266 games for the northern England club, spoke before leaving Australia, after his Los Angeles Galaxy side beat Melbourne Victory in an exhibition match.
Beckham's five-year contract with the California side expires at the end of the month, and he has not said whether he will be renewing or taking up an offer from Paris Saint-Germain.
