Washington/London - British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samatha will make an official visit to the United States next month, the US and British governments announced Friday.
President Barack Obama will host Cameron for a state visit, including a rare state dinner at the White House. It follows a state visit by Obama to Britain in May.
The visit on March 13 and 14 would 'highlight the the fundamental importance of the US-UK special relationship,' a statement from the White House said.
In addition to bilateral and economic links, the situation in Afghanistan and in the Middle East would be high on the agenda during the visit.
The leaders will also discuss the NATO and Group of Eight summits set for Chicago in May.
