Some buildings in New York City region evacuated for air smell

New York - Some buildings in the New York City region have been evacuated due to a bad smell permeating the area, reports said Monday.
It was not clear what the source of the odour was, but CNN reported that air inspection showed no harmful substance in the air. Others reported the odour smelled like gas.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg was expected to hold a news conference shortly on the issue.
