Father suspect in daughter's beheading detained in US capital

Washington - A father suspected of beheading his 4-year-old daughter in his North Carolina home was arrested early Saturday morning in the nation's capital, a local North Carolina newspaper reported.
The Raleigh News Observer said that John Patrick Violette, 37, of Clayton, North Carolina, was arrested at 4:30 am Saturday at a Holiday Inn hotel near the Capitol, just 12 hours after his wife called police to report the crime.
The mother, Amber Violette, came home to her house in Clayton to find her daughter, Katlin, had been decapitated, Clayton police told the newspaper.
Police then followed a credit-card trail to trace the father to the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
'It was basically a follow-the-money-type thing ... through his credit cards,' Clayton police sergeant SP Lapsley was quoted as saying. 'We tracked him to the hotel room that he had taken with his credit cards.'

killing this sicko is too easy for him. Put him in prison with a tag as a child molester they will take care of him a very slow and painfull death.
This is a good example of why I believe in the death penalty, If a human is so 'damaged' mentally that they could such a thing keeping them alive in prison for the next 50 years is a waste of resources that would better serve others who njeed help.
the sad thing is that his blood sucking attorney will try to get him of on an insanity plea
I think this man needs to get the harshes punishment that can be given he deserves to suffer as much as his daughter did and what all the wife is going through.
