Two dead in US plane crash
Mar 5, 2007, 19:43 GMT
Washington - Two people were dead after the single-engine plane they were riding in crashed Monday into a house in the mid- western state of Indiana, police said.
The single engine Cessna crashed under clear sunny skies at the edge of the small municipal Grissom Airport, said Corporal Eric Dunn, district duty officer with the Indiana State Police in Bloomington.
He said police did not 'believe' anyone was at home in the house that was destroyed by the crash. It was not clear if the plane was taking off or landing when it crashed, Dunn said.
'We're investigating two fatalities,' Dunn said. 'Both were on board the plane.'
The bodies had not yet been recovered.
