Two dead in university shooting in Washington state
Apr 3, 2007, 1:59 GMT
Washington - An apparent murder-suicide claimed two lives Monday at the University of Washington in Seattle, including a university employee, reports said.
The female victim, age 26, who worked in the department of urban design and planning, had a protection order against the man who shot her, the Seattle Times reported online, quoting police.
Police said she was apparently shot by a 41-year-old man who was her former boyfriend.
Investigators said the woman had received several death threats from the man on the telephone during March, and obtained a court order to keep him at a distance.
Colleagues of the woman said she had moved her residence several times and changed her telephone number out of fear of the man.
