Suspect arrested in California college shooting (Roundup)
May 8, 2007, 20:55 GMT
Los Angeles - Police on Tuesday arrested a college student who opened fire in a student rooming facility, killing one person and wounding two.
The shooting occurred late Monday night at the dormitory across the street from the California State University, Fresno, but the university remained open following the incident. The 460-room apartment complex was evacuated however.
Police named the suspect as 19-year-old Jonquel Brooks, a criminology student, and said the incident was sparked by an argument between him and the victims, all of whom were residents of the dorm. According to the Fresno Bee, the argument stemmed from accusations that the three victims had stolen a video game console from Brooks.
Brooks fled the complex after the shooting but police were in touch with him via cell phone and he surrendered midday Tuesday, the paper said.

Reading M&C causes people to post stupid comments.
Tonny from Belgium impugns his own countrymen by supposing that if they had guns, they'd all be murdering one another. Perhaps Tonny's Belgians should take a lesson from the Swiss, most of whom have guns but who don't (much) kill one another.
It's not the guns, Tonny, it's the people. Maybe Americans are more murderous than most others (but not Belgians, as the modern history of the Congo proves). On the other hand, a government of the people has no business aggrandizing powers the people haven't granted it.
Was this man a Christly Christian or was he a Muslim?
He belonged to a new sect called the 'lets get stupid comments from morons'
