-Time for a Renaissance : 'Electoralization' and Bush's American Dark Ages.-

Get this : the article calls that dirty bald faced liar 'The top US law enforcement officer'. You could add 'Close ally and legal lapdog to the President of the United States' and 'Former Rove protege'...

But it's 'The top US law enforcement officer' that really gets to me.

Think about that the next time you have to deal with a cop or a judge. Just be sure to tell your children that the 'The top US law enforcement officer' is widely known as a liar and as such will live in infamy to his grave and beyond in history, along with his boss, right next to Tricky Dicky Nixon. Kids are not dumb. They'll understand. For the rest of their lives, they'll smirk every time anyone utter the word 'justice' or 'law enforcement officer'.

Get this : 'It is my hope that whomever President Bush selects as the next attorney general, he or she is not subjected to the same poisonous partisanship that we've sadly grown accustomed to over the past eight months,' said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Raise your hand if you feel a sudden urge to pee in that old republican puppet's mouth.

How can anyone with half a brain listen to that statement without feeling the sudden urge to give up and hurl last year's thanksgiving turkey?

I'll tell you : rich republicans! They have vested interests in a republican US, even if that means killing innocents, inventing conflicts, fomenting war, whatever. Standard Oil rules! Cynicism is the required core value. Cash flow is Good! Cash flow is God.

As for the simple folk who elected Bush (if he was elected, I dunno! Let's invent a term : 'Electoralized'), unfortunately, they don't have half a brain. American patriotism has been dumbed down to the lowest of the low during Bush's 'American middle ages'. Jesus says this, Jesus says that.

The way I understand Jesus, he'd slap those silly ignorant and/or/illuminated/inbred bastards even sillier. I also wish the republicans would quit scaring (electoralizing) the black voters into silence.

p.s.: 'Electoralized'. I like that.

Credibility GapAug 28th, 2007 - 01:49:38

Now that the Dems hounded Gonzales into resignation what will they do now? Same thing they have always done, nothing. The party in power has done absolutely nothing since 2006 mid-term elections except whine and moan, No plan is still their game plan. The democratic candidates are woefully characterish and couldn't get elected dog catcher with a t-bone tied around their necks.

It makes me sick to my stomach how the demonrats have managed
to force the AG to resign by relentlessly hounding and harassing him
until he couldn't take any more of their abuse. At least now he will be surrounded only by the piece and quiet of his loving family. Although his
sudden departure is a tragic loss of superb talent for the govt., I am quite
certain that the President will find someone to serve the country who
possesses the same high degree of integretity, intelligence, and expertise
relating to the rule of law as Mr. Gonzoles so faithfully demonstrated.

He was going on about Mr. Gonzoles. He used to pack those Magic cones with so much ice cream the cones felt heavy. I sure miss him...

I agree with Bush's commentAug 28th, 2007 - 04:50:59

The quote:
'It's sad that we live in a time when a talented and honorable person is impeded from doing important work because his good name was dragged through the mud for political reasons,' Bush said.
end quote

What is truly sad here is Bush is stating the truth (except for the talented and honorable part). It was the President's political attack on the Justice system and, just as important, the bald-face covering up that has triggered Gonzales' receiving blistering assessments from both political parties.

Isn't it time we stop denying the destruction we're continuing to put upon ourselves and demand honest dialog from those we vote for?

Please do not confuse me with a jet pilot.

Infantry, please!

As such, I tend to view most flyboys as cowardly college bred mama's boys who technokill whomever happens to be there from a safe distance. We once had a brawl in a bar parking lot with an overwhelming number of them joystick humpers. We won easy, without even a whiff of friendly fire, and they ran. Maybe they couldn't bomb us just then...

Needless to say, I have no respect for pilots, although chopper pilots are of a different breed altogether. Many a soldier owes his life to a hardheaded, dedicated Huey crew.

Now you're talkin' real pilots!

I agreeAug 28th, 2007 - 16:12:53

with Bush's quote also;

'It's sad that we live in a time when a talented and honorable person is impeded from doing important work because his good name was dragged through the mud for political reasons,'

That is I agree with everything except all that gibberish he said about Alberto's 'good name', and this being 'sad', and 'important work', and 'honorable person', and 'talented'. I do agree he is 'impeded' though.
