Bin Laden to release first video message in years

Sep 6, 2007, 23:24 GMT

Washington - Osama bin Laden plans to release a video message marking six years since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, an intelligence group that monitors terrorists said on its website Thursday.

Bin Laden's video will appear on September 11 and is meant to be a message to the American public, SITE Intelligence Group said. Bin Laden last appeared on video shortly before the US presidential election in 2004.

SITE posted a still image of the video on its website that it found in jihadist internet forums. SITE noted that bin Laden's beard is now completely black, even though it had previously had grey streaks.

The United States stepped up its hunt for bin Laden after the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington carried out by his al- Qaeda network. US intelligence suspects that bin Laden is hiding in mountainous terrain along the Afghan-Pakistani border.

US forces reportedly narrowly missed him during the battle of Tora Bora in December 2001 between US and Afghan forces and al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Not having sufficient US soldiers in the region is cited as a reason bin Laden was able to slip away.

I bet it is another CIA fake. Give us the websites so that we can research them ourselves. Jihadist web site says nothing. Other news carriers call them Islamist websites. This thing sounds like a propaganda play from the CIA

1) Global warming is a con-job. NASA cooked the books. It is 6 degrees Celsius colder than average, this year, where i live.
2)If some idiot manages to make a suitcase nuke and set it off somewhere, I ain't gonna care, because it didn't get me.
If they set it off under me i ain't gonna care, because I'll be dead. Either way, there is nothing I can do, so why worry about it? Stop being paranoid and learn to love the bomb. Also. stop worrying about 'what if' situations, they are a fantasy. Deal with reality for a change.

He displays all the psychological characteristics of a lonely man, with no friends, a man who's own family no longer listens to him ... and this forum gives him a psuedo sense of worth that he does not have in his own mind or life.

Bin Laden is just showing his face for recruitment purposes....Zawahiri must be keeping him alive. Zarqawi is still dead and so are a couple dozen 'high ranking' (LOL) lieutenants. They're falling like ducks in a shooting hall. Anyone out there looking for a job with lots of exciting travel to many places, great pay but not much job security, lots of praying and getting shot at any hour of the day??
Qualifications are: must be very, very, very zealous about mixing violence and religion and have flexibility regarding wearing suicide belts 26 times a year. Knowledge of explosives helpful but will train. Good hours but little chance to see family or much else for that matter.
No fear of living in caves helpful.
Contact any of the fellas down at Al Jazeera for further application. (Not an equal opportunity employer)
