LIVE: WGA Strikewatch; the drums are beating

In some ways, it's analogous to an election day afternoon, here in Los Angeles -- everyone is looking for tea leaves to read, "leaks" to confirm or contradict the speculation of What Will Happen.

Once such tea leaf -- a big fat one -- appeared on the front page of the Writers Guild website this afternoon: Hot links for sign-ups for Picket/Contract captains and teams.
The WGA is meeting tonight, not so much to decide *whether* there'll be a strike, it appears, but simply *when*.
