Gas hits $5 a gallon in areas of California

Time to seriously ditch the Hummer or the Yukon XL. The American Automobile Association of California says some drivers are now paying $4 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline.
CNN reports that crude oil prices hit an all-time high Wednesday, above $98 a barrel and analysts say with worldwide oil demand rising -- it is still not clear just how high prices will go. But they all agree it will continue to get hgher as demand outpaces supply.
In Salinas, AAA recorded an average of $3.39 per gallon. Santa Cruz is at an average of $3.37 per gallon.
NBC affiliate KSBW-TV found gas in Gorda, south of Big Sur, is even higher. Drivers there are paying $5 for gas.

After all those years of gas guzzling, energy wasting US lifestyle, reality is beginning to bite. UK prices are around $9.50 a gallon, so you're halfway there
tbt, egypt gets about the same amount, and when you add in all the aid the other middle eastern countries get, not to mention all the aid they have received over the years to develope the oil, it boggles the mind you can think this is the issue. they are 1/2 brothers, and one side wants all the land (muslims)vs, the israeli's who only want their sliver. dhimmitude is just a fancy word for occupation whereever muslims go for other cultures besides them.

The most probable reason for Higher prices for gas is due to Hubbert's bell curve becoming a reality,
Also most of the worlds oil fields are past their peak output... and with China and India's expanding middle class competing with the west for an ever shrinking supply..,could make tomorrow..$5 a gallon look real cheap.

When youre pumping all you money into your tank, remember....thank you Israel. Our ME policy for the benifit of Israel is the reason we pay so much. On top of the billions we provide them each year to terrorize and kill innocent civilians. They are the sole reason for modern Terrorism. Thank you Isreal.
