Nikki Finke of Deadline Hollywood writes that allegedly the WGA is planning a Bring-A-Star-To-Picket-With-You event this Tuesday that's supposed to be centered at Universal Studios at noon.

Finke has become the de facto hub for information exchange for all parties involved in the contentious dispute.

Allegedly there is also a Bring-Your-Kids event underway Monday on all the picket lines since it's a school holiday, Veterans Day.

Finke rips the local media for their horrible coverage of the strike, and with the exception of industry trade Below the Line with their daily "Blog the Line" on their website filled with updates from veteran reporter Jack Egan, editor Peter Caranicas and columist and author Mark London Williams; she gives failing marks to trades Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

Publisher Patrick Graham of Below the Line has been fielding interviews from ABC and the AP regarding the strike.  His office has been flooded with calls from anxious crew who are scared for their immediate future, needing updats and advice as many have been forced off shows.

Finke writes: "Where do Los Angeles Times editors live? Why no Page One news article or photo of Friday's 4,000-person WGA strike rally, the biggest in the guild's history? Over the past few days there’s been a lot of criticism of the LA Times strike coverage. (And The New York Times', which ignored the protest which is somewhat understandable since it's based in a different city.

And Variety's and The Hollywood Reporter's, but they've never been objective anyway.) After all, massing on Avenue Of the Stars is the equivalent of 4,000 protesters on Madison Avenue. But that may be the problem: it had to occur in NYC for the LA Times to cover it."

None of them would get anywhere without the help of the others. It takes all of them to produce a good show, writers, actors, etc. They should all share equally.
