Revere Beach renaissance? North Shore development in talks

Revere Beach, the oldest public beach in the United States, was once the jewel of the North Shore of Boston.
From the turn of the last century to the early 1960's, it was a fun, safe place dotted with restaurants, clubs and a large gazebo (still there) on the waterfront facing the Boston suburbs of Nahant and Winthrop.
Since 1951, famous Kelly's Roast Beef has graced the corner of Oak Island Street and Revere Beach Boulevard, where natives and visitors alike have been guilty of standing in long lines, even in blizzard snow conditions, for a proper Roast Beef sandwich, onion rings or fried clams.
High rise condos have replaced the nightclubs and lounges for the most part, but the area is reportedly ripe for further rennovation.
Nearby, at the Wonderland Greyhound Park, the owner is in preliminary talks with mogul developer Donald Trump about creating a resort casino at the Revere dog track.
Charles Sarkis told The Boston Globe that the real estate mogul seemed "very intrigued" by the possibility of a casino in the Boston area.
Governor Deval Patrick has proposed allowing three resort casinos in Massachusetts, including one in greater Boston.

A few Casinos at Revere Beach would do wonders for Massachusetts residents. It would provide many needed jobs and leave the money in ma instead of conn. & R.I. Halloween 2008

Building a casino in the place like Revere Beach is not a 'renaissance' it is a kiss of death. Why don't you guys take casinos to the desert where they belong?
