Hillary Clinton preferred as US president - in US and Europe

It isn't all positive for Ms. Clinton to be known as 'Europe's Candidate', as she is supposed to be America's. One factor most Europeans have to be considering is if the next American president will consider American interests first, or their own. I would agree that Hillary Clinton will be much more likely then any other candidate to ignore what's good for America in the interest of world opinion. And is George Bush all that unpopular? If so, it is very odd that world governments seem to be leaning more pro-American! Germany, France and England now have the most supportive world leaders we have seen of America in a long time. (Sarkozy's nickname is 'the American'!) This is weird if you consider that the U.S. is supposed to be so unpopular. Perhaps the answer is that no one likes it when a foreigner takes the lead, but most people deep down realise that, (brace yourself) Bush is right on Iraq and the War on Terrorism. I don't even think most Americans are against the war in Iraq. I think they are against the war being fought incompetently. With the success of the surge, we may see lots of opinion polls begin to swing the other way.
