Washington woman charged after four children found dead
Jan 10, 2008, 20:01 GMT
Washington - Police charged a 33-year-old woman with murder after finding the badly decomposed bodies of four children inside her home in the US capital, media reports said Thursday.
The victims, aged 5, 6, 11 and 17, apparently were daughters of the suspect, Banita Jacks, WJLA television reported.
They had been dead for more than 15 days and the state of the bodies made the cause of death difficult to determine, city medical examiner Dr Marie Pierre-Louis told reporters.
US marshals found the bodies Wednesday when they tried to serve an eviction notice at the house in a low-income part of Washington, about 8 kilometres southeast of the White House.
