Clinton, Obama duel over Iraq, trade, before next state votes

Washington - The rivals for the Democratic presidential nomination dueled for 90 minutes Tuesday night, agreeing to kill or change a regional trade agreement and splitting hairs over how best to provide universal health insurance.
The debate between Senators Hillary Clinton, 60, and Barack Obama, 46, set the stage for the next round of party preference votes March 4 in the key states of Ohio, Texas, Vermont and Rhode Island, where Clinton must break an 11-contest losing streak to keep her chances alive against the rising challenge of Obama.
During the intense debate broadcast from snowy Cleveland State University in Ohio, Clinton made one of her strongest statements yet about her vote in 2002 that gave US President George W Bush the authority to wage war on Iraq.
She said she would have never have voted 'yes' if she had known Bush would circumvent diplomacy and wage a 'preemptive war.'
Drilled under questioning by two journalists, Clinton and Obama both declared the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) a disaster for US industry and declared they would tell Mexico and Canada the deal was dead unless they were willing to renegotiate.
'We need to have a plan to fix NAFTA,' said Clinton, who said she would call for a trade-deal moratorium until core labour, environmental and safety standards in partner nations are guaranteed.
Their statements on trade tapped a deep seam of discontent among US workers in the manufacturing industry who have seen tens of thousands of jobs exported overseas by companies that received tax breaks to do so. Ohio is a key state in the industrial rust belt where job losses have been greatest.
Clinton repeated past attacks on Obama for his lack of foreign policy experience, noting that he has 'basically threatened to bomb Pakistan' and saying it was irresponsible for him to be willing to meet with 'some of the worst dictators in the world without preconditions.'
Obama countered that he would only advocate a bombing mission in Pakistan if the country was 'unable or unwilling' to act on 'actionable intelligence' against al-Qaeda or another terrorist group in its north-west mountain regions, where the Taliban has a foothold.
Under pressure from Clinton, Obama also distanced himself from an endorsement by the anti-Semitic leader of the US Muslim organization, Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan.
'I have some of the strongest support from the Jewish community,' Obama said, adding that Israel's security was 'sacrosanct.'
Senator John McCain has all but sewn up the Republican party nomination as Clinton and Obama battle it out.

Senator Obama's association with people like this alarms me not at all. He can be defeated at the polls. What does alarm me is that these kind of people are no tenured professors in our Universities. Why should we be paying enemies of the United States a salary to spread their poison?
that only you racist dogs are sputing this information.
Was anyone else astonished that Mrs. Hillary 'Experienced and ready on day one I visited 80 countries' Clinton couldn't properly name the next Russian President?
I thought it was shocking.
She couldn't pronounce a common Russian surname.
She kinda giggled awkwardly about it.
I doubt Obama would have done better.
...racist dogs? Consider the church and it's mantra that Obama attends. Or the racists (Farrakan) who have endorsed him for president. Apparantly, someone thinks racism is the exclusive label of whites only.
Obama has asociations and a record that passed muster with his lazy, uninformed constsituents. Now, he's out on the national stage and it's going to get scrutinized. Hillary's too.
SP4 - you call attending a Baptist church questionable? Did he reached out to Farrahkan for support? No, whites can be racist also blacks, asian, all manner of colours can be a rascist pig, but in this instant you people look for the most vile and lable it Barak said did, did this, give it a break, what about Clinton! Black has support Clinton and look at the remark he made in Virginia 'quote Barak will win their only because of the amount of blacks in that state unquote' and they are the once who catapult him into office. what do you think of that comment isn't it a bit racist coming from someone like him? YOU PEOPLE JUST DO NOT WANT A BLACK PERSON IN THE WHITE HOUSE.
' you call attending a Baptist church questionable?'
When it insists that a 'Black Value System' be adhered to by members of the 'church' which is inherently intolerant and destructive to ideas of equality and harmony.
From the old version (before they cleaned it up for the press) that is still on the Trinity website:
Disavowal of the Pursuit of “Middleclassness.” Classic methodology on control of captives teaches that captors must be able to identify the “talented tenth” of those subjugated, especially those who show promise of providing the kind of leadership that might threaten the captor’s control.
Those so identified are separated from the rest of the people by:
1. Killing them off directly, and/or fostering a social system that encourages them to kill off one another.
2. Placing them in concentration camps, and/or structuring an economic environment that induces captive youth to fill the jails and prisons.
3. Seducing them into a socioeconomic class system which, while training them to earn more dollars, hypnotizes them into believing they are better than others and teaches them to think in terms of “we” and “they” instead of “us.”
It goes on like this... paranoid nonsense feeding the victim complex. Since when is thinking in 'terms of “we” and “they” instead of “us” a bad thing? this is not what Martin Luther King had in mind.
'YOU PEOPLE JUST DO NOT WANT A BLACK PERSON IN THE WHITE HOUSE.'
I do not want an unqualified grifter who has enriched himself in dirty deals off the tax payer and associated with legions of people who have nothing but contempt for this country as president. It doesn't matter what race he is.
'Senator Obama's association with people like this alarms me not at all. He can be defeated at the polls.'
Lets hope so... Does this alarm you?
www.youtube.com/watch?v=dl32Y7wDVDs
...Obama is not a baptist. Go find out about the church he belongs to. Yes, Obama got unrequested support from Farrakan, and no, he has not rejected it.
im 64 and always went to church .
now i find churches are evil .
and all bullshit
RE:'Lets hope so... Does this alarm you? '
Don't have sound here at work. I'll check it out at home, but no, it most likely will not alarm me. Like I said, he can be and eventually will be defeated at the polls. I think it unlikely that he will win the general election.
I am far more worried about the quality of tenured professors. There is almost nothing we can do to be rid of them. They are as permanently ensconced as Supreme Court Justices. They can and always do a great deal more damage than any politician.
These are the Cardinals of the libnazi church. Unless they molest a child, and even then not for sure, they are safe as kittens. They, quite literally, run most colleges. The administrations are almost paralyzed by them. Even private colleges have a real issue with them.
My advice: Do nothing...they are going to do it all for them. They will do more for college reform than all the bitching in the world.
Take Colorado and ward Church(?)or whatever his name is. That cost them a chancellor, and several board members before they cut this nutcase loose. Once these potentates start losing the support of the big doners, the board will figure a way to flush them.
The other stellar case was the Duke Rape. These chuckleheads jumped on the Lynch-a-white-boy wagon and were completely embarrassed when they were caught red handed in the gold standard of bigotry and racial prejudice.
Other gems include the mandatory environazi requirements of dorms in certain colleges i.e. mandatory lectures not applied to school credits, stymied free speech, and other libnazi totalitarian actions designed to sway student opinion.
spork alert Mr. Granberry.
'I am far more worried about the quality of tenured professors.'
Indeed, the thing is 'real life' has a way of smacking the smug off you.
A lot of these professors went out into the world and had quickly learned that their ideas can't compete so they retreated back to the last place they enjoyed some sort of legitimacy: Academia. Some of these institutions are cloistered echo chambers that reward 'good thought' and punish 'bad thought' instead of preparing a well rounded individuals who can reason for themselves.
The ones who figure out that sometimes you have to get by a particularly petty professor who has given up her or his mission to 'educate' for of indoctrination usually tell these self appointed demigods what they want to hear. The ones who actually believe it will probably wind up back in academia perpetuating the vicious circle.
It's like he man said: If you're not a communist in college there is something wrong with the college. If you are a communist after college there is something wrong with you.
Well, you know what they say....those can can, do-those that can't, teach.
and those who can do neither squat on websites and spew garbage, like that druggie SPfool.
One of the most precious things is a gifted teacher but there are a some who fell in to it for the reason Kathy gave.
So....I'm a web site squatter huh? At least i have the guts to post my name, jerk.
Christ, b*tch, are you ever stupid. I was pointing out a third option to your post. You are f*cking stupid enough to think that it was aimed at you. But what else could be expected from a Homecoming Queen? Intelligence is not required for that position.
'Intelligence is not required for that position.'
Gee, how much is intelligence is required for the position of 'obnoxious, sp4 stalking internet troll'? Not a whole lot gauging from your posts.
sp4 murdered his mother you know.
or is this new news to you all?
He was stoned on that Paraquat-soaked Mexican brick-weed at the time. So much for his college education. So much for his going to vet school. So much for SPfool doing anything with his life except for being a druggie.
didn't have a mother. Daddy spewed all over a rock and the Sun hatched him.
I'm afraid that some of you pretending to defend democracy are in fact giving the bad example.Attacking a presidential candidate on account that one of his acquaintances has committed a crime is ridiculous .When you are a public figure, active in politics, you are bound to meet hundreds if not thousands of people;some of them in organizations committees ,conferences, your own party structures most of all.SIt takes no more than ten seconds of intellectual efforts to conclude that you can not be held accountable for each and every deed committed by one of these persons, unless of course you spend your entire life working out, like a complete team of crime investigators,if any of these figures crosses the line.Yet some find it necessary to smear a candidate for that.Is that part of democracy?Of course not,it is one of the worst excesses of it ,it cripples democracy ?Wise people will first of all concentrate on the political programs of the candidates. What are the propositions regarding health care, education, climate change, etc, etc. That is what you are entitled to,unless of course you blindly vote for a candidate on account of his religion, leadership qualities (to accomplish what exactly,if you have no program but empty words ?)
You guys haver to face a very bad health care situation ,in which your system is the most expensive in the world, yet fails to protects most of it's citizens from harm.In every statistic from international organisation it is revealed that the USA is lagging behind most other civilized countries, sometimes ending up in the middle of the platoon.Michael Moore has done a good job in demonstrating to most of you how the system functions,or rather why it doesn't.It is tailor made for the insurancxe companies ,to bring in maximum profit for the companies.
You also have a problem with your education system.Do you think it is normal to teach science based on theological dogmas that conflict with the findings of modern science? For that is what institutions like the Oral Robert university stands for.The outcome is undergraduates ignorant of the basic universal laws of science .
One of the biggest challenges humanity is facing in it's entire history is climate change,a very urgent problem that needs to be solved in the next decade .Why is it that so many people in the USA continue to deny it's very existence,or look at it like it is not urgent ?Lack of basic insight in the most simple logical understanding of science .Is it normal that every statistics compiled by the scientific community is still dismissed by some of you ,like SP4 on account of his own observation that it freeses sometimes ?It shows an appalling lack of knowledge, either that or an immense intellectual bankruptcy .Whatever the cause,it needs to be mended, for the sake of your own country.
When you vote, look for what is essential, just don't pay attention to the smear campaigns that are a corruption of the very notion of democracy.
RE:'I'm afraid that some of you pretending to defend democracy are in fact giving the bad example.Attacking a presidential candidate on account that one of his acquaintances has committed a crime is ridiculous .When you are a public figure, active in politics, you are bound to meet hundreds if not thousands of people;some of them in organizations committees ,conferences, your own party structures most of all.'
Welcome back, Tonny. I was wondering where you and wandered off to. In these cases we are not talking about a casual encounter, Tonny. Senator Obama has had long term relationships with some of these folks and they have been giving money to him and his campaign fund. They are also a fairly good indicator of what the man believes in. He is almost as far out on the left as you are.
RE:'SIt takes no more than ten seconds of intellectual efforts to conclude that you can not be held accountable for each and every deed committed by one of these persons, unless of course you spend your entire life working
out, like a complete team of crime investigators,if any of these figures crosses the line.'
Absolutely true.
RE:'Yet some find it necessary to smear a candidate for that.'
Show me the smears, Tonny.
RE:'Is that part of democracy?'
Yes, of course it is.
RE:'Of course not,it is one of the worst excesses of it ,it cripples democracy ?Wise people will first of all concentrate on the political programs of the candidates.'
He has the political support of a guy that was in the Weather Underground. What does that say, Tonny? It says that he doesn't really believe in founding principles of the United States. For that matter, Hillary Clinton does not believe in them either. The difference between the Clintons and Senator Obama is that The Clintons are more interested in greed, kickbacks and corruption than Senator Obama is.
RE:'What are the propositions regarding health care, education, climate change, etc, etc. That is what you are entitled to,unless of course you blindly vote for a candidate on account of his religion, leadership qualities (to accomplish what exactly,if you have no program but empty words ?)'

I've been there and read that.
Go easy with that god-awful wide brush of yours, Tonny.
RE:'You guys have to face a very bad health care situation ,in which your system is the most expensive in the world, yet fails to protects most of it's citizens from harm.'
More horsefeathers from someone who has never been here and never had to have medical care here.
Re:'In every statistic from international organisation it is revealed that the USA is lagging behind most other civilized countries, sometimes ending up in the middle of the platoon.'
Well, let's see, what was it Mark Twain said? Oh, yeah! 'Lies, damned lies and statistics.' In other words, Tonny, we don't give a rat's ass about your international organizations. We do things our way and if you do not like the way we do things, stay where you are. This is not your country. We don't tell you how to run your health care system. It ain't none of our gorramned business. You get the picture?
RE:'Michael Moore has done a good job in demonstrating to most of you how the system functions,or rather why it doesn't.'
Let's get something straight about Michael Moore. Michael Moore is out to help exactly one person, Michael Moore. He's even less reliable than the majority of TeeVee Preachers, okay? Take those rose colored glasses off and take a really hard look at the guy and find out what he does behind the scenes. The dude is a greedy jerk.
RE:'It is tailor made for the insurancxe companies ,to bring in maximum profit for the companies.'
Which means that you have not done your homework and took Moore's lies at face value. You obviously have not looked into the way this mess got started. Go to the Wikipedia and start with a guy named Henry Kaiser. You are in for a shock.
RE:'You also have a problem with your education system.'
Don't we just know it!
RE:'Do you think it is normal to teach science based on theological dogmas that conflict with the findings of modern science?'
Doesn't happen and never really has. I don't know who told you this, but they were lying. The religious right has been pressing very hard for such instruction, but it has not happened except in a very few small localities. The American people are, for the most part, genuinely religious and go to church every Sunday at a minimum. We have this thing called 'Sunday School' where religious ideas are taught. Those 'Sunday Schools' are run by the Churches using lay teachers. Religion is NOT, I repeat, NOT taught in the American Public School system.
RE:'For that is what institutions like the Oral Robert university stands for.The outcome is undergraduates ignorant of the basic universal laws of science .'
Oral Roberts University is a private institution that is not widely accredited. If you get a degree there, you will discover that finding a job will be a major chore. We have religious freedom here, Tonny. If you do not like that, too frackin' bad. Go cry me a river.
RE:'One of the biggest challenges humanity is facing in it's entire history is climate change,a very urgent problem that needs to be solved in the next decade .'
Better go check the latest data, Tonny.
RE:'Why is it that so many people in the USA continue to deny it's very existence,or look at it like it is not urgent ?Lack of basic insight in the most simple logical understanding of science .'
Because every one of us with any sense knows that the science has been very badly polluted by left wing politics, Tonny.
Re:'Is it normal that every statistics compiled by the scientific community is still dismissed by some of you ,like SP4 on account of his own observation that it freeses sometimes ?
I ain't SP4, Tonny. There is only one SP4 that I know of. Don't equate all of us with him. We all have differing opinions on this stuff. Who is smearing now, hmm?
RE:'It shows an appalling lack of knowledge, either that or an immense intellectual bankruptcy .Whatever the cause,it needs to be mended, for the sake of your own country.'
Says you. So what?
Re:'When you vote, look for what is essential, just don't pay attention to the smear campaigns that are a corruption of the very notion of democracy.'
You are being disingenuous. No one your age is that much of a naif.
Noharness, all affirmations and no substance .Do I have to counter every lack of argument you advance, like citing Twain on statistics ?What is the relevance as it lacks substance and relevance.I have better things to do;people will decide for themselves. One thing is certain, statistics and facts don't lie.As the smear campaign against Michael Moore;better show him to be wrong ,in stead of attacking him Ad Hominem, like most of your fellow republicans .If I were an american,I'd vote for better health care, not for more weapons.I'd vote for somebody with enough education to understand the problems of climate change,I certainly would not listen to anybody pretending it is not happening ,especially if they tell me to check the latest facts ,which they did NOT .
The battle against climate change is an uphill battle, for two reasons.First there is the powerful oil and automobile lobby stepping on the brakes to defend their profits ,their influence is so big that they can jeopardize the future of mankind for the sole reason to defend their interest.THe second reason is the apparent ignorance to the facts, like demonstrated by noharness, who claims latest facts dismiss the phenomena.Do do not,on the contrary, the latest prognoses are even more pessimistic and call for urgent action now,in the name of your children.Every delay will cost you much more than the original investment.Your only excuse in failing to understand the urgency is provided by the appaling lack of educational standards. You have an administration which puts to shame your own scientific community .Their reports are reviewed, redacted, censured by the Bush administration. As if politics are more powerfull than scientific facts.Only fools can think that.
How ever you define a lie these days is anyone's guess. Like Clinton's, 'I did not have sexual relations with that woman'. That lie will be debated for years to come.
One thing I like about Obama his not taken or received and money from the Jews.
Clinton has taken millions from the Jews, then has dodged all questions pertaining to the strings attached to it. She has also taken money from Silicon Valley to keep the flood of foreign workers coming in. Then she says she wants to stop the flood..........
Their are some very good question out there to ask.
1- Will the draft return. 2- The USA can no longer support their Military with their eroding tax base, with-out borrowing more from China or The Jewish World Bank. How are they going to do it, with their dollar falling more every-day. 3- The ressicion we are in, has it all brought on by Ben and His Boys, after 9/11 the economy was stalled, then came cheap and fast money, now it's a bust. The stock market is falling, there will be some excellent buys in 2-3 years, that will be ripe for outside investment. Investment in the USA, has always controlled the political infrastructure......
Some think they see a tank or another weapons system, and their thought is it's paid. Truth is its paid-for by borrowed money from the Jewish Bank aka The World Bank. Every weapon system built in the USA has the option of going to Israel for free. The Jewish World Bank prints a $100.oo bill for $22.00 [their cost] then charges the USA Government full face value. You add the interest on top..............Just follow they money !!
And so it is.................
If you removed the delegates that Obama bought off by making contributions to their campaigns and then removed the racist vote from Blacks who are voting 9 out of 10 for him, he would be way behind right now.
Obama staffer gave warning of NAFTA rhetoric
Updated Wed. Feb. 27 2008 11:45 PM ET
CTV.ca News Staff
Barack Obama has ratcheted up his attacks on NAFTA, but a senior member of his campaign team told a Canadian official not to take his criticisms seriously, CTV News has learned.
Both Obama and Hillary Clinton have been critical of the long-standing North American Free Trade Agreement over the course of the Democratic primaries, saying that the deal has cost U.S. workers' jobs.
Within the last month, a top staff member for Obama's campaign telephoned Michael Wilson, Canada's ambassador to the United States, and warned him that Obama would speak out against NAFTA, according to Canadian sources.
The staff member reassured Wilson that the criticisms would only be campaign rhetoric, and should not be taken at face value.
But Tuesday night in Ohio, where NAFTA is blamed for massive job losses, Obama said he would tell Canada and Mexico 'that we will opt out unless we renegotiate the core labour and environmental standards.'
Late Wednesday, a spokesperson for the Obama campaign said the staff member's warning to Wilson sounded implausible, but did not deny that contact had been made.

'Attacking a presidential candidate on account that one of his acquaintances has committed a crime is ridiculous'
Sure, the thing is Obama has used his influence and written letters on this fellows behalf in order to help him get property and funds from Illinois. This property and cash were essentially stolen and the people who it was supposed to help got screwed. Obama got over a half million dollars worth of contributions and property from these thieves and he is actually living on property sold to him at a huge discount from Tony Rezco.
'Yet some find it necessary to smear a candidate for that.Is that part of democracy?'
It is not a 'smear' if it is the truth. Just because you do not wish to hear something doesn't mean that it never happened. If you held your own politicians accountable you wouldn't be in the fix you are in with the EU.
'Michael Moore has done a good job in demonstrating to most of you how the system functions,or rather why it doesn't....'
LOL, in other words, you just want to hear the propaganda you want to hear and when someone tells you the truth that you do not want to hear it is a 'smear'. Again, I am glad you can't vote in our elections.
'You also have a problem with your education system.Do you think it is normal to teach science based on theological dogmas that conflict with the findings of modern science?'
No one outside of religious schools is taught that. You are just showing your ignorance again.
'I'd vote for somebody with enough education to understand the problems of climate change'
And how exactly does that convince a poverty stricken Chinese, Indian, or Brazilian etc., to forego the benefits of modern civilization?
For all your supposed education, you obviously cannot do simply math.
RE:'Noharness, all affirmations and no substance .'
I have not affirmed anything, Tonny. I think you meant to use some other word here.
Re:'Do I have to counter every lack of argument you advance, like citing Twain on statistics ?What is the relevance as it lacks substance and relevance.I have better things to do;people will decide for themselves. One thing is certain, statistics and facts don't lie.'
Statistics can be used like a shell game or Three Card Monte and often are.
RE:'As the smear campaign against Michael Moore;better show him to be wrong ,in stead of attacking him Ad Hominem, like most of your fellow republicans .'
www.slate.com/id/2102723/
RE;'If I were an american,I'd vote for better health care, not for more weapons.'
You ARE NOT an American you cannot, therefore, set our priorities. Quite frankly, it is none of you goddamned business.
RE'I'd vote for somebody with enough education to understand the problems of climate change,I certainly would not listen to anybody pretending it is not happening ,especially if they tell me to check the latest facts ,which they did NOT.'
Oh, who you would vote for isn't all that hard to figure out. You do know that Ralph Nader is running again. Why aren't you championing him? Clearly of the three lefthanded wingnuts running in the race this year, Ralph Naders is by far the most ideologically pure. But, you are more cunning than that, aren't you, Tonny. First you were championing the Clintons, but now it's pretty plain that Senator Obama will defeat the Clintons so you're suddenly keen to defend him. Tonny, we all know you are going to vote for the left-most viable candidate, not the right one.
Oh, but I have, Tonny. You're the one missing the important stuff.
RE:'The battle against climate change is an uphill battle, for two reasons.First there is the powerful oil and automobile lobby stepping on the brakes to defend their profits ,their influence is so big that they can jeopardize the future of mankind for the sole reason to defend their interest.'
More socialist drivel.
Let's take a hard look at what is going on politically about global warming. What has Europe done? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. The much vaunted cap and trade scheme hasn't worked. Your still overfishing despite repeated warnings from your own biologists. You're still burning coal as though there were no tomorrow and you are now, just this years, finally staring to impose fuel standards on your automobile fleets. Hell, most of you are still burning leaded gas. Germany just this year finally enacted a law against old wrecks mucking the air because their oil rings had collapsed.
Are Europeans building nuclear power plants? Besides the French? No.
Give it a rest, Tonny. Your actions are so loud I can't read your assertions.
Many people wondering how come OBAMA is getting so many primary votes.Americans are fools to choose Obama over Hillay-if Obama is democrats candidate surely Republican will win.America white majority do not want a women to be their President, neither they like a Black to to have the crownIt is rather they will have old No Idea white from Republican to win. This will surely lead to a decade of American disaster,so will the rest of the world will.Americans still have a last chance to have level headed ladywith a good bunch of adviser with some vision may be their President. LETTER TO SENATOR BARACK OBAMA
Montreal, February 20, 2008
SENATOR OBAMA ,
The whole world has its eyes on you, on The United States Of America and its people.
Everyone expects you to be democratically elected and see that something happen in America.
In March 1983, one of humanity's most famous spokesmen, Pope John-Paul II, came to our country - ' Haîti ' - and loudly proclaimed what each and every one of us had been whispering:
' Something must change here. '
Today, more than ever, a lot of people of The United States of America stand up, longing for something and working to make something happen.
And, like in March 9, 1983, beloved Haiti, History - (which from then and now on rests in thy hands) - tells thee: 'It is now time to let people speak to thee of love!', let's say today: 'Go thou America ahead and show us thy true countenance in a positive light.' It is up to everyone to play his or her part in order to let thee regain thy mark of excellence !'
With this letter, I am communicating with You, Senator Obama, and with the whole people of The United States of America.
You offer this country what it takes to be a Wonderfull Land.' Yes, let us say 'with a great people living together.'
Go thou, America, go ahead, following in the footsteps of one of thy sons who is now becoming one of thy statesmen.
With this in mind, Mr.Obama, to whom else could I entrust this letter sent to his Holiness Pope John Paul II when he set foot on Haitian soil for the first time, as well as its acknowledgment by the Vatican?
That letter to Pope John-Paul II is intended to draw attention to the problem posed by anti-Black discrimination and its negative repercussions on the advancement of scientific progress in the West, and more precisely in the realm of Optics.
In the Western world, according to Newton's widely accepted theory, white is considered to be the synthesis of all colors. Actually, the opposite is true. White constitutes the analysis or 'visible' decoding of light or color, whereas black is its synthesis or 'invisible' composition.
In other words, darkness or blackness and, we might add, 'Black Holes' - a scientific misnomer designating invisible stars or 'Black Suns' - are a source of energy and light.
That basic raw material of light energy culminates, in its most radiant form, in the neutralization of all the colors of the spectrum in the form of so-called 'white light.'
Therefore 'absolute blackness', the absorption of all the colors, is a divisible component of light. Needless to say, Newton's theory gives only a partial interpretation of the notion of light, by excluding black. Our contribution aims at demonstrating that the black color is not only an integral part of the color process, but its true synthesis. Light is therefore shown to be a divisible whole comprising an intensity or color scale in which black is the 'invisible' or 'absorbed form' of the energy in question.
Allow me, Senator Obama, in order to support my statement concerning Black Holes and radiation, to pose a question asked by Hubert Reeves, Doctor of nuclear astrophysics and Scientific Consultant to NASA:
'What would have become of the Sun, if it were plunged into a high temperature radiance like the one that existed at the beginning of the Universe? [our translation].'
'Instead of emitting light, it would absorb it and, in the end, it would be completely reabsorbed into the cosmic fluid.'
The cosmic fluid is what, due to an 'optical mistake', is called 'darkness' or the 'blackness of space'. We are talking about the electromagnetic flux, that immeasurable ocean in which the planets and stars are bathed, like the sea which links all the continents together. Darkness is thus 'The Sea of Space.'
'What would have happened if, instead of an ordinary star like the 'White Sun', a Black Hole or 'Black Sun' were injected into that primordial radiation?'
'According to Einsteinian Physics, a Black Hole is a place where gravity is so formidably intense that nothing can escape it, not even visible light. Such a hole should suck in and absorb radiation and increase its own mass: E=MC2, always.'
'But after Einstein came Bohr, Heisenberg, and Quantum Physic. From then on, nothing was the same as before.'
'The Einsteinian version of the Black Hole is equivalent to a statement that the matter inside the Black Hole is definitely there to stay, in that volume of space. Let us quote Hubert Reeves: 'Such an absolute statement is thus contrary to the 'Quantum spirit', affirming that nothing is definitely localized in one place. There is always a probability of escape. If the enclosing wall is too high, a tunnel will be dug; if the prisoners are patient, they will escape. One has only to wait. [our translation].'
'According to that principle, Black Holes 'evaporate.' Matter constantly escapes as radiation. Black Holes 'shine!' Their surfaces behave like those of any body heated to a certain temperature and that radiation endlessly feeds that marvelous 'Cosmic Fluid' which, wrongly and in bad faith, people keep calling 'Darkness.'
Nigra sum 'sed' formosa. Yes, but should we not say instead, I am black 'and' comely? Darkness, which is both source and vehicle of light, does not have to defend itself for being the beautiful and infinitely discreet raw material of the Universe. Darkness is the 'Mother of the Universe.'
Also, beautiful and discreet art thou, Haiti. Discreet, yes, but never outshone! Just like the Black Virgin who inspires and sheds her love on thee from the hilltop and even beyond Cité Soleil (Sun City).
Our purpose was to offer a more constructive approach aiming at correcting the abusive traditional, so-called scientific, theories of Optics. That is why, we wrote to that authentic witness to the signs of this age, His Holiness Pope John Paul II, the prophet of the new era.
Congratulations to You, Sir, and congratulations to the people of The United States Of America, for having made it possible for this day to mark the beginning of a 'New Era of Hope !'

Barack Obama Corruption - Ties to Tony RezkoFeb 27th, 2008 - 07:00:05
Obama has been caught lying about Tony Rezko:

There is a growing body of material in the blogosphere on this issue (looseheadprop has an excellent overview), but the mainstream media has paid little attention and most Americans know nothing of Rezko's bribery and corruption trial. Not yet. But that will change starting February 25, when Rezko goes on trial in Chicago. The best Obama can hope for is an acquittal or mistrial. He cannot deny his longstanding friendship with Rezko. A man who has played a significant role in raising funds for his political campaigns and a man who helped Obama and his wife get the home of their dreams.
But it is highly unlikely that Rezko gets off. He just got nailed for lying to the judge about his alleged poverty and was promptly arrested for hiding millions of dollars overseas. And he is up against Patrick Fitzgerald. Pat Fitzgerald does not go to court unprepared and does not have a record of losing, particularly in Illinois. Remember, this is the guy who nailed Scooter Libby and the former Governor of Illinois. The boy plays to win.
When Rezko is convicted and, the details of the corruption and bribery charges are fleshed out and the public learns that Senator Obama got some of that dirty cash, do you really believe the public won't care that the Democratic nominee for President is involved with a convicted felon? Hell, this is a political attack ad that writes itself.
The William Ayers Problem:
William Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist, though he is normally described as a distinguished education professor. One does not necessarily rule out the other, but he himself acknowledges planting bombs in U.S. Federal buildings. There is now undeniable proof of a longstanding relationship between Barack Obama and William Ayers. We are not talking about two guys who just happened to bump into one another on the street. We are not talking about a secret admirer (Ayers) who quietly sent $200 to an aspiring politician.
No, we are talking about William Ayers hosting a fundraiser for Barack Obama and actively working with him to secure Barack's first electoral victory in Illinois. But wait, there is more. Barack and Ayers also served on the board of the Woods Fund. And they worked together to give money to some other folks, including a group with ties to the PLO.
What makes Ayers so toxic is his own written record equating U.S. Marines with terrorists. Look at the beating that John Kerry took for tossing his medals over the White House fence. Ayers did not toss medals, he threw bombs. Real ones. Bombs that exploded.
Do you think that Republicans will ignore Obama's ties to Ayers? The two were serving on the same board in 2002. We are talking less than six years ago and the record will come out showing some questionable grants by these two characters. William Ayers, in the age of terrorism, will be Barack Obama's Willie Horton.
The Problem of Rashid Khalidi:
So far, the press has paid little attention to Obama's ties to Rashid Khalidi, Middle East Professor at Columbia University and PLO activist. An article in The Jewish Week from last year offers up this tantalizing tidbit:
Khalidi, now the Edward Said Professor of Arab Studies at Columbia University, and head of that school's Middle East Institute, declined to comment on Abunimah's recollections. But in an interview in Tuesday's Daily News, he said he hosted the fundraiser because he and Obama were friends while the two lived in Chicago. 'He never came to us and said he would do anything in terms of Palestinians,' Khalidi told the paper.
Nevertheless, one Hyde Park source close to Obama, speaking only on condition of anonymity, recalled, 'He often expressed general sympathy for the Palestinians -- though I don't recall him ever saying anything publicly.'
Obama has made his pilgrimage to AIPAC (funny, but in his campaign against special interests and their grip on Washington he gives AIPAC a pass) and worked to position himself as a friend of Israel. But the relationship with Khalidi has not yet received the white hot media attention that tends to occur during the dog days of July and August, when the press needs a story. And guess who helped broker the appearance of Iran's Ahmadinejad last summer at Columbia University? Professor Khalidi. The New York Times had his reaction to the event:
Rashid Khalidi, a professor of Arab studies and director of the Middle East Institute at Columbia, said, 'The tone from the host of an event was uncivil and uncalled for.
'The president of the university had every right to state his differences,' he said. 'That was more than acceptable. But I believe it was embarrassing to the university, frankly, that they should decide to invite him and then treat him in this manner.'
Now, which presidential candidate is calling for talks with Iran? You do not have to be Karl Rove or Lee Atwater to figure out how to tie Obama with Ahmadinejad using Obama's friendship with Khalidi.
I don't know what else is out there on Obama. Unfortunately, the worshipful, servile attitude of many Democrats and media personalities so far has hindered a tough look at Obama's friends and associates and his judgment. But that will come. What should concern Democrats keen on taking back the White House is whether or not these issues will be fully vetted before Obama is installed as the candidate. My guess is no.
And what do Republicans think? I only have anecdotal evidence. I asked an old friend, who served in law enforcement (I'll leave the particular agency out of it) for more than thirty years, about the William Ayers era. There are a lot of Federal agents who believe that Ayers is a terrorist who got away with his crimes and still owes a debt to society. My friend wrote the following to me today:
I think many of my friends believe Obama is beatable; however they concede that Clinton can win. Therefore, the thinking goes, WE hope Obama gets the Democratic nod and THEN flood the gates with information later.
Feelings of hope and inspiration about Obama will evaporate when the commercials tying him to a convicted felon slumlord, an unrepentant terrorist who hates the troops, and a Professor of Middle Eastern Studies who has been a PLO official spouting anti-Israeli rhetoric. Oh, YES THEY WILL! YES, THEY WILL.
