One dead, 100 injured in US tornadoes

Washington - Tornadoes in the US have claimed one life and injured more than 100 people over the past week, according to TV broadcaster Fox News on Saturday.
Thousands of homes were damaged as the storms swept across the US Mid-west and South.
On Friday, a tornado swept at 180 kilometres an hour across North Carolina, where one man was killed. The winds swept his truck off the road in the community of Guilford, and turned it over.
