Three dead in US tornadoes (Roundup)
May 11, 2008, 1:37 GMT
Washington - Tornadoes churned across the mid-west state of Missouri Saturday night, killing three people and slashing a path of destruction, Fox News broadcaster reported.
The storms topped a week that saw dozens of twisters plough across the Mid-west and South, claiming one other life and injuring more than 100 people.
On Friday, a tornado swept at 180 kilometres an hour across North Carolina, where one man was killed. The winds swept his truck off the road in the community of Guilford, and turned it over.
