Democratic primary under way in Puerto Rico

Jun 1, 2008, 11:53 GMT

Washington - The primary election between US Democratic presidential candidates Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton began in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, a territory of the US, at 1200 GMT on Sunday.

Recent surveys have put the former First Lady ahead of her rival in this primary, with 55 per cent of the vote as against Obama's 42 per cent.

The Democratic primaries conclude after five months of campaigning with voting in the states of Montana and South Dakota on Tuesday.

The Democratic Party will decide in a convention at the end of August who will enter the presidential race on November 4 against Republican candidate John McCain.

To capture the party's nomination a candidate would need 2,118 delegates - Obama currently has 2,050 to Clinton's 1,877.

Hillary should bite the bullet and change parties. I'm sure Senator McCain would love to have her for a running mate.

Changing parties would be fourth swing at the whole thing. Go for it! YOU CAN DO IT!

I gather then, that you would happily support a McCain-Clinton ticket.

gather wrong. Obama is the last I would pick; McCain the second to last, and Hillary third to last (none of these are anywhere near first choice). To have these three in the finals is criminal and it is criminal to know the people had no conscious choice in the matter. Bummer, wouldn't you say??

'Hillary should bite the bullet and change parties. I'm sure Senator McCain would love to have her for a running mate.'

Great news you babbling attention whore... Ron Paul is still running! He will protect you from the bad 'ol socialists under your bed. Better yet, since that is what you seem to object to and since that is what you have (of course, in perfectly logical decision making) vowed to vote for why don't you go ALL the way? Here:

That ought to make the country 'blow up' and 're boot' even faster! (although only marginally, I will admit)

'Attention Whore?' I LIKED that one, Bubba. It was a really nice shot. I ain't gonna mess with no communists, though. I mean, why would I? Most of 'em are in the Democrat Party as well as the Communist Party America.

Because you want to see them drag down the country... Right, we got it, you are a douche bag. Why not just get off your lazy ass and move to Venezuela or even North Korea? By your crystal clear reasoning they are farther along on the road to pure capitalism then we are.

What you need to do is take your well thought out message on the road. Go knock on doors and tell your neighbors that we need to destroy the country in order to ideologically purify it.

RE:'Because you want to see them drag down the country...'

Yes.

RE:'Right, we got it,'

Not yet you haven't.

RE:'you are a douche bag.'

Under the circumstances, I forgive you.

RE:'Why not just get off your lazy ass and move to Venezuela or even North Korea?'

Why should I move when it is very obviously coming to you and I both right here in the States?

RE:'By your crystal clear reasoning they are farther along on the road to pure capitalism then we are.'

Dead wrong.

RE:'What you need to do is take your well thought out message on the road.'

Yes, getting the message across is the REAL problem, especially when it takes someone as bright as you are to see it. Don't worry. I'll keep trying.

Re:'Go knock on doors and tell your neighbors that we need to destroy the country in order to ideologically purify it.'

Why knock on doors when I can use fora like this one?

Why go further?

Paranoid much?

No, not a problem at all.

You will get a more visceral and instructional reaction. Just go and knock on doors and tell folks that they should vote for Obama because he is going to destroy the country quicker then McCain and you are of the opinion hat the country needs to be destroyed by socialism in order to save it from socialism.

People who are 'as bright as I am' will either laugh at you, toss you off their property or call the men in the white coats to come cart you away. People who are 'less bright' or who are simply more pressed for time might fill your ass full of rock salt. Who knows, you might find someone over at the group home who thinks it's a dandy idea to destroy the country in order to save it.
