Reports: Scientist in anthrax case commits suicide

Washington - A government scientist who was the focus of a federal investigation into the 2001 anthrax attacks has apparently committed suicide, the Los Angeles Times has reported.
Bruce Ivins, 62, was a top scientist at the government's elite bio-defence research laboratory in Fort Detrick, Maryland. He had been informed by authorities that he would soon be indicted for the attacks that horrified the nation in the weeks following the September 11 terrorist strikes.
Ivins name had not been publicly disclosed as a suspect, unlike one of his colleagues, Steven Hatfill, who won a 5.8-million settlement from the Justice Department after his name was leaked to the media as a 'person of interest.'
Ivins died Tuesday at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Maryland after consuming a large dose of prescription Tylenol mixed with codeine, the newspaper reported.
Envelops containing anthrax were mailed in the weeks following September 11 to media outlets and some members of Congress. The contamination crippled the postal service. Five people died from the poisoning and dozens of people were given precautionary vaccinations.

Was he still working at the lab after being under suspicion? He might have been brilliant, but dangerous at the same time.
Now it becomes so obvious that this bum was actually an islamofascist enemy combatant terrorist in deep cover. Apparently baraki HUSSEIN obama bin laden Jr., AKA Bruce Ivins, spent years developing his seemingly benign alter ego as a geek scientist, only as a means to infiltrate himself into the highest levels of the US Defense Department. Following the direct orders of his cousins, notorious islamofascist terrorists Saddam baraki insani HUSSEIN, and baraki HUSSEIN ali obama bin laden, Mr. 'Bruce Ivins' was intent upon initiating the total destruction of the United States with bio-chemical WMD supplied to him by those two cousins. Some of this WMD had been reported as missing from Iraq, along with nuclear WMD, after that country obtained its freedom from islamofascist terrorists who had controlled it previously. It has been suggested that Mr. 'Bruce Ivins' was about to be surfboarded, a fate worse than death, but not considered torture, by the CIA, when the coward killed himself.

Come on guys,don't recognize that humor ?the post concerning Obama was surely meant as a joke,a mirror for those that blame even the rain on Obama and try to tie him to islam just to cast confusion .not to be taken beyond humor.
Don't be so sure about that after reading some of the comments on this site. Of course, maybe we're just getting 'gun shy' after all of them.

when did that ever matter - no one ever sticks to commenting about said article in their rush to get their .02 in. You have to keep going back to the headline to remind yourself of what it's all about.
