Bill Clinton to speak at Democratic convention

Aug 8, 2008, 5:51 GMT

Washington - With two weeks left before Democrats meet in Colorado to nominate Barack Obama as their presidential candidate, much of the debate this week has been on what Hillary and Bill Clinton would do during the August 25-28 party unity event.

It appeared late Thursday that former president Bill Clinton, one of the Democratic Party's most important figures, has been invited by Obama to be a lead speaker on August 27, the evening before Obama accepts the nomination in Denver, media reports said, citing party and campaign officials.

But that speaking slot still didn't resolve the issue of what to do about Obama's ousted rival for the nomination, Hillary Clinton, and her disgruntled supporters, even as she heads to Nevada Friday to campaign for Obama.

Hillary Clinton, who narrowly lost the nomination bid, indicated this week that she still might put her name up for nomination to appease demands by her supporters for recognition of her historic bid for the Democratic presidential nod.

than lying to a judge about a blow-job is intentional lying to the American people to start an unnecessary war. Bush is a joke as a human being and has never accomplished a thing in his entire pathetic life.

Libnazis run to this excuse the minute we expose Clinton for the lying, treasonous, duplicitous bastard he was, and is. This is the reason his wife will not be Preident: the past has finally caught up with them.

You'll need a much longer list than that weak excuse above.

By the way, over 500 chemical artillary shells were recovered in Iraq, with two set off as IED's. Honestly, in the age of information, people like you insist on still making it up as you go, just like Dan Rather.

You know as well as Bush does those canisters, every one of them, were out dated, harmless, rusty with holes in them, and non deliverable. Only an ignoranus like yourself would bring up the old ''canister WMD super justify the war pile of crap''. Nice try dick-wad. You are crazy-stupid.

PS Bush knew they were garbage, from 20 years prior, even before he made the announcement. Funny huh?

And maybeAug 8th, 2008 - 21:13:38

He will talk about how great the economy was when he left office, how we had no debt, how the economy was on an upswing, how they told Ms. Rice there was a huge terrorist threat (and she went shopping), how the Euro was worth less than the dollar, how oil was $18.00 per barrel? Maybe just maybe he will talk about how things were before the current administration messed them up with their stupid Texas politics?

First of all you need to get your facts straight before you open up your stupid mouth. The economy was already coming out of a recession the third quarter of the last year of Bush Sr. That can be verified by all intelligent sources such as the Barrons, WSJ and all economists. Second we did not have the best economy is 50 years. Here in California due to the huge military base closings across the country and the massive layoffs of hundreds of thouands of engineers in the aerospace industry we had the worst economy in many decades. Foreclosures were at record highs and unemployment was near double digits and many businesses closed. Many cities were experiencing 50-80% home foreclosure rates all during the best econoomy in 50 years. The budget was balanced by deep cuts in the military and the closing of bases all over the country. A very small portion of that started under Bush Sr but it escalated tremendously under Clinton. So know your facts sir before you insert your foot.

'First of all you need to get your facts straight before you open up your stupid mouth.'

Ever expect anyone to listen to you? Nobody listens to someone who starts their comments with crap!

'The economy was already coming out of a recession the third quarter of the last year of Bush Sr.'

Right, but if you use your head, you want to give credit to someone? Do you know what accountability is? Accountability does not allow you to give credit to someone for the good, but at the same time not hold them accountable for the bad. During Bush I's term the worst failure in S&L history occurred, all the bad in the California downturn happened in this time, the property value downturn happened because of the Government stepping in and giving away the land from the S&L debacle---that all happened during Bush I's term---check your facts out before you 'open your stupid mouth'.

'That can be verified by all intelligent sources such as the Barrons, WSJ and all economists.'

You did not verify anything you said, I guess that pretty much makes you King of the Idiots?

'Second we did not have the best economy is 50 years. You must live in a different California than the one in the US? The downturn happened in '89, '90, '91. That would have been Bush I's term. Remember our lesson on accountability?

'The budget was balanced by deep cuts in the military and the closing of bases all over the country. A very small portion of that started under Bush Sr but it escalated tremendously under Clinton. So know your facts sir before you insert your foot.'

Being polite and calling me Sir really does not make up for the fact that you are completely and totally wrong. Do your homework and you will find that most of the crap you are spouting in fact happened in the Bush I's term and if you can dig back in that pea brain of yours you will remember the budget was not 'balanced' during his term 'No New Taxes', remember that big lie, that was because he could not balance the budget-------sir!
