Los Angeles - A jury Friday found disgraced US sporting legend OJ Simpson and his co-defendant guilty of a dozen counts of armed robbery and kidnapping.

Simpson, 61, and his co-defendant, onetime golfing buddy Clarence 'CJ' Stewart, 54, were found guilty of the alleged robbery of two sports-memorabilia dealers a year ago at the Palace Station Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Simpson was led from the courtroom in handcuffs as Judge Jackie Glass set sentencing for December 5 in Las Vegas.

The most serious of the charges, kidnapping, carries a potential life sentence.

The panel of nine women and three men deliberated more than 12 hours after listening to nearly three weeks of testimony in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The jury's discussions began exactly 13 years after Simpson was acquitted in Los Angeles of murdering his ex-wife and her friend

Simpson's attorney Yale Galanter had argued before the jury that his client was simply retrieving memorabilia that had been unlawfully taken from him.

Prosecutor Christopher Owens tied the case to Simpson's controversial 1995 acquittal of charges that he murdered his wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman.

Simpson was later found liable in a lawsuit for millions in civil damages.

Owens claimed that Simpson hid valuable mementos with friends to avoid handing them over to Goldman's father, Fred, as part of the financial settlement.

When one of those friends, a former agent, did not return the items to Simpson, he became angry and began planning a sting, the prosecutor said.

Simpson went with half a dozen men to the hotel room, where he threatened the agent.

'Stand ... up before it gets ugly in here,' he said, according to a recording of the incident played by Owens.

Galanter had earlier said, 'It's a case about recovering personal items.'

JUSTICE AT LAST FOR THE MURDERING BLACK BASTARDOct 5th, 2008 - 13:37:51

This piece of human crap should have been shot resisting arrest years ago. Perhaps he did`nt resist arrest - but our wonderful police can soon fix that - a policeman's word is gospel against some do-gooders inquiry. Ridding the world of such a scourge more than justifies a set up.

The guy needs incinerating, although the smoke would pose a health hazard, we could put up with it knowing that a piece of utter shit was polluting the atmosphere and no longer the population.

Now it seems like we have to pay thousands of taxpayers dollars each year to keep this vermin in luxury in a nice warm cell, everything found from A to Z. I bet he will piss himself laughing.

Why this kind of scum should be elevated to national celebrity status just because he knocked a ball about and did a bit of ham acting is beyond imagination.
Kids in the Bronx kick balls about every single day and all they get is harassment from the police.

Hmmm little sympathy for OJ here.Oct 5th, 2008 - 14:53:47

We all know he is guilty as Sin, but I can't help feel sorry for a guy that once was an Icon.....
But for the grace of God..that could be ourselves.

Luciferian arrogance always leads to a downfall.

GOOD VS. EVIL ; RE. THE LAST POSTOct 5th, 2008 - 15:41:39

What brainless crap you bible thumping idiot. Keep your psalms to yourself and don`t lecture people who have to spend their lives in the presence of scum like OJ at great personal risk.
Go and stroke the fairies at the bottom of your garden.

Get yourself into the real world where evil is all around you.

You can only defeat evil by the SAME RULES. Remember Solomon ? I don`t suppose so, you`re too busy thinking the sun shines out of everybody's arsehole and reading NICE books.

WELL, Solomon`s rule was 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH' and if the millions of simple Simon`s like you would recognise this FACT, the world would be a better and much safer place.

This lump of black shit should be burnt at the stake, not kept in luxury for years at the taxpayers expense.

Sorry my most respected and revered Guru of all knowledge - YER WRONG THIS TIME CHUM.

Trusting in GOD is what all my fellow buddies did in Viet Nam and guess what ? Most of them are still there. Some blown to bits all over that delightful country providing fertilizer, others enjoying the worms in shallow unmarked graves and the rest in more comfortable surroundings, six foot down in good old USA !

THAT is what you get from GOD.

I don`t believe any of that crap and am still here to write this poster.

Do unto others what they would do to you, but do it sooner and a bloody sight harder. Survival matey, that`s the only religion in this world.
If anybody is going to get terminated, make sure it is the other guy.

That is from the Code of Hammurabi.

Give the racism a rest will you? Simpson is a POS and they come in all shades.
