Man names child after Republican ticket, without wife's okay
Oct 15, 2008, 16:56 GMT
Washington - A supporter of Republican presidential candidate John McCain and running mate Sarah Palin went beyond a bumper sticker and named his new born daughter after the duo.
The child's name, Sarah McCain Palin Ciptak, however was a surprise to her mother. The parents had agreed to name the girl Ava Grace, but father Mark Ciptak instead filled out the birth certificate with the political name to draw attention to the candidates, he told local newspaper the Kingsport Times News.
He only later told his wife, Layla.
'To be sure, she was not quite fond of me or of what I had done, but we've had some time to talk it over, and she has been really supportive through it all,' Ciptak told the newspaper.
The name has drawn a slew of media attention, and the couple said they have not decided whether to keep the name or have it changed to their original choice.

Ah yes, just like the newspapers said...the GOP is now invoking a 'voters fraud ' as last evasive action to distract the voters from the real issue. If this fraud was anything substantial or intelligent, ther voters would never be called 'Mickey Mouse' ...would you go to the bank and try to cash in a check signed to Mickey Mouse ?I wouldn't...
Possibly fraud occurs nobody can rule that out ,but one would be ill advised to associate Obama with it.Yet another case of 'guilt by association ' ,unless of course somebody could come forward with something more substantial to incriminate him.I've looked all over the web trying to find material that would be a bit more substantial.I found nothing at all, except the usual smear, announced by almost the entire press ,expecting this to happen in yet another attempt to divert your attention from the important issues. Some might say that this is an important issue..fine then as long as other topics are addressed too,and treated with all the attention they deserve.I trust the US voters are capable of dealing with different issues simultaneously .Something tells me that's not what the GOP plans to do...
Jus to balance the GOP smear with analternative opinion. This link points to a more elaborate impression, not based on smear but on opinions from average folks tha workd with him. You'll be the judge of it:

That was a BIG mistake!
....I mean!
Some people will do anything to get their face in the news! And, guess what, it worked!
But the USA is a democracy:
'he GOP is now invoking a 'voters fraud ' as last evasive action to distract the voters from the real issue'
You have no idea what 'real issues' are you unwashed surrender monkey.

IN Michigan:
'ACORN leader: Bogus voter applications get through
LANSING -- The head of a group that promotes voter registration acknowledged Tuesday that members of his organization have submitted bogus applications to county election offices.... Lagstein's comments followed charges of falsifying voter registration documents filed Tuesday against an ex-ACORN worker from Jackson.
Antonio Johnson was charged with six counts of forgery of a public document, felonies each carrying a sentence of up to 14 years in prison, Attorney General Mike Cox said.
Cox said the documents submitted by Johnson were obvious forgeries, and that his 'office will not stand by while criminals interfere with the voting rights of citizens.'

IN NORTH CAROLINA:
A group of concerned squirrels is now spreading the word for the GOP about rampant voter registration fraud and impending voter fraud by ACORN.
They showed up at CBS' 'Early Show' this morning, crashing Harry Smith's shot.
In addition to the savvy guerrilla marketing, the Squirrels have their own blog. And, the GOP is bolstering the message with a new site, ObamaAcornTree.com, which illustrates Obama's many connections to the group, including an endorsement from ACORN's political arm, numerous grants he steered to them throughout his career, and the $800,000 his campaign paid ACORN for get-out-the-vote efforts (and then tried to conceal in FEC reports).
I'm in North Carolina this week, where the voter-fraud message has made some inroads with voters. At an event for Sen. Elizabeth Dole in Democratic-leaning Richmond County yesterday, Dole had time for about five questions from voters, and two of them were about voter fraud.
If you think ACORN has caused trouble at this point, just remember the potential for mischief once GOTV gets underway. The state of North Carolina's General Assembly passed a same-day registration bill in 2007, which allows citizens to walk into polling places, register in person, and cast a ballot on the same day starting tomorrow and up to three days before Election Day.

In Florida:
November results 'already tainted' by ACORN
Former senators warn problem worse than Florida election nightmare of 2000
A former senator today said the November results already have been 'tainted' by actions of ACORN, and the 2008 election could be a nightmare worse than the 2000 dispute in Florida.
John Danforth, a former Missouri senator and ambassador to the United Nations, said the actions of the organization, which has been accused in more than a dozen states of submitting fraudulent voter registrations, are 'just plain wrong.'
Cited were problems that included a voter registration for Mickey Mouse in Florida, voter cards in Indiana with the name of the Jimmy John restaurant chain, one man's 73 registrations in Ohio – for which he testified on a video he was offered money and cigarettes, and 10 registrations for a dead Missouri woman.
Obama and his criminals are making a joke out of democracy.
ACORN Registers Mickey Mouse
Posted on October 14, 2008
ACORN has registered Mickey Mouse to vote — in Orlando, of course. Here’s the registration application:
www.moonbattery.com/mickey-mouse-registration.jpeg
As reported by the St. Petersburg Times, it is “stamped with the logo of the nonprofit group ACORN.”
What a coincidence: the Obama campaign furtively paid this same group $800,000 to get out the vote, presumably by using tactics ACORN activists were taught by Obama himself, who also took part in ACORN’s contribution to the sub-prime disaster by forcing banks to make loans based on skin color.
Even ACORN goons are probably smart enough to come up with more subtle names than Mickey Mouse or the lineup for the Dallas Cowboys. But why should they bother? It’s not like Obama will be taken to task for it. Just chalk it up to the Audacity of Arrogance.
Oh boo hoo, your albino chipmunk has sunk to low levels in his attacks and did not take time to address the real problems. You are also too stupid to get it---the people do not care about Acorn, Ayers or Wright, all they care about is if their 401 k is worth half aas much as when Bush/McSame started or if they can fill up the car, or if they have a job.
You and McSame keep doing what you are doing, you are etting no where! Good going idiot!
'Oh boo hoo, your albino chipmunk has sunk to low levels in his attacks and did not take time to address the real problems. '
'Albino'? Your racism is showing again. Your main selling point on this insolent child who has 143 days in the senate and 20 years in the damn America church is that it would be fun to have a black man as president. This job is too important to be handing to someone because of his race.
' You are also too stupid to get it---the people do not care about Acorn, Ayers or Wright, '
They ought to. Obama has consistently surrounded himself with criminals, thugs and basically anyone who has declared that they loathe the USA. Ayres is a terrorist and a murderer. Wright is a bigot. Acorn is a socialist criminal enterprise that is being investigated for violation of the Rico act. That is his record of 'service' to the USA.
'all they care about is if their 401 k is worth half aas[sic] much as when Bush/McSame started '
Firstly, Bush is not the same as McCain. Secondly you propose to fix the problem by installing the same idiots who caused it. Obama's plans will drag the USA in to the dirt. If, God forbid he gets in it will be the last time you see a democrat president in a long while, let alone one who has been appointed on your notions of race.
'or if they can fill up the car,'
So why oppose drilling off shore?
'You and McSame keep doing what you are doing, you are etting no where! '
In a democracy people get the government that they deserve. If people don't 'care' that they are electing someone who loathes the USA, who has been propped up by people who have sheer contempt for our sovereignty, our belief in individualism and individual responsibility and the virtues that have made this country the greatest in human history.
I don't know how he did it but Obama has infiltrated the USA and has over half of it's citizens eating up every word he says. That half is the blind half.
