Obama caught in more lies:Oct 17th, 2008 - 07:33:19

Even Factcheck.org Has to Admit Obama Lied His ass off on ACORN Last Night

From last night's debate:

Obama: 'The only involvement I've had with ACORN is, I represented them... in making Illinois implement a motor voter law that helped people get registered at DMVs.'

Factcheck.org response:

He did, but that wasn't his only involvement. He also worked closely with ACORN's Chicago office when he ran a Project Vote registration drive after law school, and Obama did some leadership training for Chicago ACORN. The Woods Fund, where Obama served as a board member, gave grants to ACORN's Chicago branch; both organizations are concerned with disadvantaged populations in that city. And during the primaries of this election, Obama's campaign paid upwards of $800,000 to the ACORN-affiliated Campaign Services Inc. for get-out-the-vote efforts (not voter registration). Those services were initially misrepresented on the campaign's Federal Election Commission reports, an error that some find suspicious and others say is par for the course. ACORN's Chicago office and CSI have not been under investigation.

Unsurprisingly, Obama also, once again, blatantly lied about his relationship with Bill Ayers and his vote on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, both of which, sadly went completely unmentioned.

' McCain, who is lagging in the polls behind Obama, '

Gallup has Obama up 49-47 with a margin of error of 2%. Have you heard that anywhere today? Of course not.

The media neeeeeds this to be over right now. Anything that contradicts that template is utterly disregarded. Gallup took some heat for changing their party weighting to include more Democrats, which accounted for Obama’s inflated numbers over the last couple of weeks. So they decided to do three polls, one of Registered Voters (RV) (useless as a predictor), Likely Voters (LV), and a new “Traditional” Likely Voters (TLV), which reflects the, well, traditional weighting of the parties. So here are today’s Daily Tracking Poll numbers.

Note that the results do not reflect last night’s debate, and can only mean that McCain was already closing the gap. Look for this get even tighter over the next couple of days.

Joe, who is real name is Samuel, admits he does not have a plumber's licence
Doubt has been cast over the story of 'Joe the plumber', the man who unexpectedly became the star of this week's US presidential debate.

Joe Wurzelbacher, of Ohio, was thrown into the spotlight after he was used by John McCain as an example of who might suffer under Barack Obama's tax plans.

But it now emerges he is not a licensed plumber and owes $1,200 in back taxes

These times right now have shown that there are real problems with the system, the stuff that is happening around us with the economy are tragic and comical.
The problems are also in education, infrastructure and social.
The system appears to be fundamentally problematic.
A deep and rigorous change is needed in many of its aspects and design and operation.
Of the two candidates one is more suited to make the changes.
One must remember that a nation,a country and its people is not the same as a business.
We need a person than can first understand the problems and then come up with solutions, we need a person with the right education experience and energy.
We need a person who does not think of the country as a business but as a nation of people trying to evolve and advance in a very compeding global system.
We need a person who will work from the bottom up, not from the top down!
Some one who is in tune with the problems of the average person and will work with him in mind, and for him and with him.
Are there problems with the system in many of its aspects, does everybody agree with that?

With all of Joe the Plumbers glaring shortcomings i.e. he missed that all-important policy seminar on monetary policy while he was fixing a toilet, he still got the concept right that, if his income, capital gains and retirement taxes go up, and he loses feeding that capital into the economy to expand his small business, the fastest employment engine in our economy, the economy will not grow.

Best not to put all your trust in Google -

BRITAIN'S Prince Philip, unintentionally left Google chiefs red-faced this week.
The 87-year-old was visiting the online giant's London headquarters with Queen Elizabeth II, and its bosses were giving them a presentation of the signature Google Earth application.
Using Buckingham Palace as an example, they demonstrated how it could zoom in close to show astonishing detail of buildings, streets and even vehicles from a bird's eye view.

Prince Philip, always ready with polite questions at such functions, asked if it could beam in on Google's own offices, the plush but relatively new buildings in which they were all gathered.
'Do you know where it is?' he asked.

With a few mouse clicks, the computer screen scanned across the few hundred metres from Buckingham Palace to Belgrave House, Google's HQ in nearby Buckingham Palace Road ... but it wasn't there.

While surrounding streets could be seen, the space where Google should be was an empty site. 'It is just that the picture came from a time when it was a piece of land,' said Nikesh Arora, Google's president for Europe, Middle East and Africa, refusing to show embarrassment according to the Times.

Ex-US Secretary of State Colin Powell has joined a hip-hop band on stage in London to dance and sing in a celebration of African culture.

America's former top diplomat took centre stage along with Nigerian performer Olu Maintain, who sang his hit Yahoozee.

It is not clear if Mr Powell was aware that the song was about Nigeria's notorious Internet fraudsters.

The song tells of an easy-money lifestyle of women, cars and alcohol.

The scammers, known as 'yahoo yahoo boys' make money by advance fee fraud, known as '419' after the legal statute that outlaws it.

McClatchy writes: 'Palin’s popularity has swooned as new information about the local abuse-of-power investigation known as Troopergate has trickled out, and as national and local media pick over her track record as a governor and small-town mayor.

89-93 POLL RATINGS: Palin has pleased most voters by sticking to her promises.

JUNEAU -- With the latest poll showing her approval rating at 89 percent, Gov. Sarah Palin may now be the most popular governor in the nation.

A recent public opinion poll taken by Ivan Moore Research showed both Republicans and Democrats in favor of the state's first female governor. The poll comes just two weeks after a separate poll taken by Dittman Research gave Palin a 93 percent approval rating.

While political polling numbers can fluctuate week to week, Palin's numbers have consistently been extremely high, putting her near or at the top among the nation's governors, according to Jennifer Duffy, an analyst at the Cook Political Report, a Washington, D.C.-based research group that closely follows state politics.

I think she has as many problems as the rest of the candidates. What about the Alaska Independence Party that First Dude was a member whose founder stated 'I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions.' Seems Palin has been 'palling' around with someone who hates America so much that he doesn't want to be a part of our country. Why did Palin legitimize this party when she addressed it's annual party convention by video earlier this year.? She seems to have her hands full with troopergate as well. What about the church she attended where the pastor (who believes in witches)laid his hands on her to pray for her success? She isn't any different than the others. Maybe she did well in Alaska, but she isn't VP or Presidential material. And she has been made fun of only because of her rather daft answers to questions that aren't scripted.

McCain needed a breakout performance in the last debate and Joe the Plumber wasn't it. Americans are far more concerned about the bad economy than past associates. McCain has his unsavory old friends too, but Obama oted not to push back by discussing them, so McCain did himself no good in being in an attack mode. He also didn't gain voters by attacking ethanol subsidies. Obama did a much better job of explaining his health care plan and attacking McCain's as well as education issues. At this point a candidate should have his 'base' locked up and should be going after undecided voters. McCain seemed more focused on firing up his base of conservative supporters.

A lot of physical/mental issues are already on the decline at 72. Granted, there are a lot of 'older' people who can lead healthy, productive, lives and maintain their intellect at a high level, but that isn't a given by any means. It isn't for any age, but at an advancing age, it's really up for grabs. Also, his treatment as a POW has got to play a big part in his stability.

Poor old feeble-bum McCain is too concerned where Cindy has put his wheelchair and Ginseng roots than bother about playing Methuselah on stage and acting like an old toss-pot. Anyway, that female cretin of a barbarian from Alaska has put him on the mortuary cold slab.

FOR THOSE POSTERS ABOVE WHO BANDY CRAP FIGURES OF POLLS ABOUT - GET EDUCATED AND READ THIS ;- Approx. but close.

The US population is 301 M. The total US eligible number of voters is
250 M or 83% population.

In any Presidential election the turn-out is only around 45%.
So, only 115 M actually vote ; 135 M don`t bother. MORE PEOPLE DO NOT VOTE THAN DO VOTE !!

The President wins by say 60 M against 55 M, a margin of 5 M.
Thus ANY President in US history is only elected and supported by a mere 60 M people.

It does not need a genius to see that our President is only elected by
60 M people and 190 M did NOT vote for him !!!!

CALL THAT DEMOCRACY ?? RUBBISH !!

Now for that large lump of wasteland called Alaska.

Population of Alaska is 700 K. The eligible number of voters is 450 K.
Now YOU say that cretin female barbarian has a 90% backing.

YOU DO NOT EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. I have 100% backing out of a total vote of ONE - MY WIFE ! If you do not understand percentages -DON`T PLAY WITH THEM.

With a piddling population of only 700 K and a voting population of only 450 K, WHO CARES A BUGGER IF ALL THE ALASKAN PEOPLE VOTE FOR THE COW ?

It means NOTHING. I would guess the stupid pollsters took a 3 K max sample and extrapolated it like they always make the mistake of doing.

So, the heinous bitch gets 2.7 K people thinking the sun shines out of her arsehole.

2,700 against a US voting population of 250 M !!! You call THAT a 90% support ?

GET LOST YOU IDIOT. IF YOU HAVE NO CREDIBLE SENSE OF PROPORTIONAL INTELLIGENCE - DON`T SPOUT YOUR RUBBISH TO THE REST OF US. Go away and suck your dummy.

Les Strickland
This is the title of an AP 'news' article: Poll: Voters souring on McCain, Obama stays steady

Yet, when you read the actual poll, it's a 44-42 race.

In fact, this poll shows Obama with higher unfavorable than McCcain, at least how I read it.

Obama 43 (Somewhat unfavorable 18 - very unfavorable 25)

McCain 42 (Somewhat unfavorable 20 - very unfavorable 22)

AND is shows that those of you who are undecided, who would you vote for if you had to choose today... McCain 18- Obama 14

McCain and his piece of vile Arctic crap are dead and buried. They have properly screwed it up.

The old man can go home to his nursemaid Cindy and reminisce on the good times he had with his Gook pals in Hanoi, all paid for by dear Daddy in US dollars. Whilst that obnoxious, smelly female cretin can go back to her barely populated Arctic scrubland and get on with abusing her powers and killing defenseless animals.

She will be much happier amongst the few people up there who think she is a modern day Boadicea. 'Governor' of only 700,000 people ? There are more people on Palm Beach, Florida on any day in the week.

PRESIDENT OBAMA ! it is a 'black' day in US history, but that is all we have been given by these two idiotic political parties.

They just have different ideas on how to do that, and maybe don't deserve the vile hate thrown out at any of them. Look at the candidates and decide which one to vote for and that's that. The chips will fall where they may and not everyone is going to be happy with the results, but guess what.....that's called 'life'.

ESS PEE has been screaming Republican ever since this fiasco started 12 months ago.

For ESS PEE to change and commit his vote to OBAMA a Dem means that the Reps with old man McCain and that hideous stinking bitch from Alaska have really shit on their own boots. ESS PEE is NOT an idiot, he knows the difference between a pile of crap and a caviar sandwich.

I don`t like blacks, I think as a race they are sub-human and am proud of it. If you call me racist, then get lost, I could not give a shit, have a nice day, BUT there is NO other choice, OBAMA it has to be.

McCain is just a frail old toss-pot and his running mate a heinous bitch with no experience of REAL political affairs. SHE is a walking disaster and catastrophe waiting to happen. When they faced each other on TV, McCain looked like he had one foot in the grave, whilst OBAMA was vibrant, energetic and bright.

So, President OBAMA it is and although he is a black man, to be fair, he appears to have the energy and enthusiasm to take up this great challenge.

Good luck to him, I do hope he brings change and prosperity to America and it`s people. HE LOOKS THE PART, GIVE HIM A CHANCE.

Forget McCain and his Arctic bitch, they are about as good for America as a hole in the head. The walking dead. Was it cold in the ground last night ?

@THE NEW MESSIAH
'I don`t like blacks, I think as a race they are sub-human and am proud of it'

Unless you come from Mars, your genetic makeup contains a proportion of African ancestry (which of course means Black in your terms.
See below -

Almost everyone wherever they may live throughout the world, can trace their ancestry back to one of seven women, the Seven Daughters of Eve - now named Ursula, Xenia, Helena, Velda, Tara, Katrine, and Jasmine.

From these seven women, our origins can be traced, how and where our ancient genetic ancestors lived, and how we are each living proof of the almost indestructible strands of DNA, which have survived over so many thousands of years. Using DNA samples from two living relatives, of the remains of Tsar Nicholas and Tsaress Alexandra, to the Caribbean woman whose family had been sold into slavery centuries before and whose ancestry has been traced back to the Eastern coast of central Africa. Ultimately, investigation reveals that, as a race, what humans have in common is more deeply embedded than what separates us.

It is unwise to throw stones when in a glasshouse ! You obviously need to do a bit of rethinking about your racist prejudices, since (from your definition above) you are also 'a race ... that is sub-human'

Yes your headless chicken act is very impressive. Now face up to some facts -

The Seven Daughters of Eve (2001, ISBN 0-393-02018-5) is a book by Bryan Sykes that presents the theory of Human mitochondrial genetics to a general audience. Sykes explains the principles of genetics and human evolution, the particularities of mitochondrial genetics, and analyses of ancient DNA to genetically link modern humans to prehistoric ancestors.

Following the developments of mitochondrial genetics, Sykes traces back human migrations, discusses the out of Africa theory and refutes Heyerdahl's theory of the Peruvian origin of the Polynesians, which opposed the theory of their origin in Indonesia. He also describes the use of mitochondrial DNA in identifying the remains of Czar Nicholas II, and in assessing the genetic makeup of modern Europe.

The title of the book comes from one of the principal achievements of mitochondrial genetics, which is the classification of all modern Europeans into seven groups, the mitochondrial haplogroups. Each haplogroup is defined by set of characteristic mutations on the mitochondrial genome, and can be traced along a person's maternal line to a specific prehistoric woman. Sykes refers to these women as 'clan mothers', though these women did not all live concurrently, and indeed some 'clan mothers' are descended from others (although not maternally). All these women in turn shared a common maternal ancestor, the Mitochondrial Eve.

@To; -Gene
In your rather rabid response to Gene's original post, you said -

'In 2008, I cannot believe that ANYBODY does not understand the scientific evidence of the evolution of life on Earth. Jesus Christ, we all learn it at infant school.'

You appear to have defined YOURSELF extremely well. The process described showing the descent from the 7 (sometimes described as 12) females who remained in Africa after one of the near-extinction episodes IS EVOLUTION. After their descendents emerged from Africa they spread around the globe. This is not new information

If you are descended from European stock then you will have some genetic link back to one of them.
Equally, if you are of Native American stock, there will also be a link back, but via the crossing of these people's ancestors from the Far East via the Bering Strait land bridge and the gradual spread throughout all of the Americas. These people in the Far East had a link back to the emerging African ancestors
If your ancestors are African a similar link back exists.
If your ancestors were Middle Eastern, they were predominently dark skinned and also had a link back.
Similar links back exist for all the peoples of the World

So, whatever your ancestry, there will be a genetic fingerprint back to your original African (and dark skinned - however much you try to deny it) ancestry many hundreds of generations back

In spite of your bluster and ranting, you reveal a complete lack of knowledge about evolution and Darwin (which you quote as if you understood something).
Your question about the Males involved immediately shows your lack of understanding of DNA/genetics, since the links only work via the female line.
So you are Caucasian. Fine - your ancestors were originally dark skinned but lost this pigmentation over many generations as they moved further North from Africa and had less need for protection from the harmful effects of the sun.

You claim ancestry to apes - again that is fine. But the distinction between Ape Women and Home Sapiens Women so far back is meaningless. The important point is that they were female ancestors

I suggest you follow up on some research - there are plenty of references on the Web. Then perhaps you might take a more rational view and get out of your state of denial about having dark skinned ancestors in the dim and distant past, even if it does offend your in built prejudices and racial(racist) beliefs

The sort of information you should be considering instead of racist delusions -

Albinos--The Origin of the Caucasian Race?

As new information comes down the pike, it is necessary to rethink theories that were once in place. The origin and labeling of the “so called” Caucasian, Negroid, and Mongoloid Races by 19th Century scientists, started racial groupings based on skin color by naturalists and anthropologists like Johann F. Blumenbach, JA Gobineau and HS Chamberlain. These men also equated skin color to psychological value and importance to race. Blumenbach named whites after the Caucasus Mountains because he thought the purest white people originated there. He didn't seem to realize the following:

Russia, Chechens, Armenians, and other Southern Russians are considered to have Black Negro origins and CAUCASUS MOUNTAINS PEOPLE ARE CLASSIFIED AS 'BLACK,' AND ARE DISCRIMINATED AGAINST. The fact is, BLACKS HAVE LIVED IN SOUTHERN RUSSIA SINCE PREHISTORIC TIMES AND HAVE OCCUPIED THE BLACK SEA REGION SINCE THE TIME OF Senwosret/Sesostris (2000 BC) WHEN AFRICANS DOMINATED THE REGION (SEE 'HERODOTUS' ON THE COLCHIANS).

FROM AFRICA – NOT TO AFRICA!

Today The American Anthropological Association declares there is no such thing as race which is merely a “social construct.” If that is the new scientific principle, then….

MANKIND IS NEGROID! – THE ONLY RACE (ETHNIC GROUP) THAT EVER EXISTED IS NEGROID!

There are plenty of scientific facts to back up this principle. According to The South African Institute for Medical Research in review – Journal of South African Science, THE HIGH FREQUENCY OF ALBINISM IN AFRICA provides more clues to early African history. The Department of Human Genetics at the SAIMR is currently involved with numerous research projects, most related to human genetic disorders and population origins--one of these, ‘Albinism in African peoples’ having received particular attention because it offers new insights into the historical movement of peoples in sub-Saharan Africa.

The albinism syndrome shows parallels with sickle cell anemia. The carrier of the sickle cell mutation is at an advantage in regions where malaria is hyperendemic, which includes large areas of Africa.

About one in 35 southern African blacks is a carrier of an albinism mutation, a surprisingly high prevalence for a genetic disorder where the homozygote is at a survival disadvantage. It is postulated that the albinism carrier may actually be at an advantage, possibly also with malaria as the selective agent. It has been suggested that mosquitoes are less likely to alight and take blood from a lighter-skinned person and thus the albinism carrier may be at an advantage over darker-skinned people. The testing of this hypothesis is opening up a new line of research into malaria studies, which may yet show some other selective agent may be responsible for the high frequency of albinism in Africa.
The new scientific genetic information derived from the Human Genome Project, an international effort to decode the information embedded in the human genome, confirmed to the world by scientists in the East Room of the White House (June, 2000). We all evolved in the last 100,000 years from the same small number of tribes that migrated out of Africa and colonized the world'. 'All human beings are 99.99% the same at the DNA level and the remaining 0.1% genetic variation that exist seldom segregate in a manner that confirms to the racial boundaries constructed by social political means.”

Many years before the Human Genome's Project announcement of its historical DNA findings on so called 'race' (in June of 2000), historians have revealed that human beings, during the primitive era in ancient/antiquity Africa - The Origin of Humankind/Humanity states that due to the lack of knowledge about inbreeding (between closely related parents) they did not understand why their off spring were born with 'white skin.' Scientists say 'white skin' is a form of Albinism (a genetic defected offspring -- lacking melanin).

However, why do you not simply state where - if you have a genetic link back to some uniquely white skinned ancestry - this area is ?
This would be a great revelation since it doesn't fit the facts of dark skinned origins coming out of Africa, but maybe your scientific experience has provided such evidence. If you cannot provide it then I must assume you are basing your apparent belief in white skinned supremacy, and your case in particular, on a lie. If you can live your life on such a falsehood then one must feel very sorry for you
