Texas goes to McCain, Iowa to Obama (Extra)

Washington - The southern state of Texas will vote in favour of Republican presidential candidate John McCain, US networks projected on Tuesday.
Democratic nominee Barack Obama was projected to win Iowa, a mid- western state McCain had hoped to keep in the Republican column.
Texas, a reliably Republican state, is the second largest prize with 34 electoral votes.
