McCain concedes election to Obama (Urgent)

Washington - Republican Senator John McCain said late Tuesday he called Democrat Barack Obama to concede defeat in the presidential election and congratulate Obama on becoming the 44th president of the United States.
'We have come to the end of a long journey,' McCain told supporters at his election headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. 'The American people have spoken and they have spoken clearly.'
